What game are you currently playing?

Keep getting sucked into Kururin Pa and Baku Baku Animal on the Saturn. Puzzle games sink their hooks into me so easily. I got pretty far into Kururin pa until the purple granny decimated me. :lollipop_weary:

I didn't know either of the games you referenced, but looked up the bolded on YouTube, and... whoa, looks fun and intriguing! Part Tetris, part "water flow hacking puzzles" from BioShock, part Bomberman, and part... who the hell knows. But looks awesome!

Since you mention puzzle games, I do have an import (Japanese) copy of Puzzle Bobble 3 for Saturn that I pop in from time to time. Good times.

Third time‘s the charm I guess...

Restard Death Stranding again after starting and putting it away twice. Now beat the first boss and am in the 2nd area. Fuggin hooked.

Newer games can be so weird. They always throw in so many new game mechanics. It can be fun and all but this shit just always takes so long to get used to. I‘m and old man... I long for simpler times.

A bunch, in particular, Xbox One games I bought but barely played because I couldn't stand using my Xbox One.

The Series X is a whole different story. I have a Samsung T5 SSD and I'm playing Xbox One games right off of it. Most of the games I've tried load in under 10 seconds, generally less. Even garbage like Halo 5 is enjoyable when everything loads so fast.

I'm really digging both the consoles, but I'm especially happy with the S/X. It's nice to have a proper Xbox again.

Everything is broken....

trying To play CoD campaign keeps crashing in the same spot in a mission
cyber punk is buggy as fuck

even the game I’m done with have all been broken in ways (spider man, Destiny 2, Valhalla, watch dogs)

what a time to be a gamer...

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Yakuza Kiwami. Feels like a step down from Zero in many ways, mainly the sidemissions being much more "normal" and less funny or crazy.

But I still like it. Those games are like a drug, with it´s simple but good gameplay and the stories that grab you until you beat them.

It's a great time to be a gamer. Just stop playing AAA mediocre games like CoD or Ubigames and you'll see.

Trying to finish this beautiful game, RDR 2. Great story so far, perfect storytelling, beyond video game standarts(like Uncharted and TLOU). But!
Who tought Epilogue was a good idea? It's boring as hell and very long. They took all the bad characters in game and put them together in a boring farming simulator. How could you do that Rockstar? What a waste of time!

I hate horse riding too. I would prefer cutscenes instead. Holding X button, for like 2 minutes before all the missions, didn't make me feel like i'm in that world. When i have a job in another town, which means 5 minutes of horse riding, i just switch to cinematic camera and come here(GAF) to criticize Cyberpunk's unacceptable PS4 launch.

There is a lot of AA stuff and also older games that play just perfectly man.

And come on, don't be so close minded... there a re lots of great indie games.

With 2 new consoles it’s wanting to play the lauch games isn’t out of the ordinary.

Best of the lot so far had been spider man but still turned into a bench while playing....

Oh okay, if you have new systems it´s normal that you wanna play the new thing.

And yeah, the current state of releases is just sad, lot´s of broken games, specially (for me) Cyberpunk and the Medal of Honor VR game.

I'm a couple of hours into Outer Wilds.

Really enjoying it so far. I like the small scale space exploration.
In a gaming age of waypoints and hyper detailed minimaps, this one is giving me that actual sense of exploration that only few games have.

Kururin pa is a great puzzle game, quite a bit of modes/content too. Try it out if you get the chance.

And try to play it against a human opponent. Vs puzzle games are at their best with a live player on the couch / arcade bench next to you.

Since 19th november I’m playing game with lttp as:
- horizon zero dawn (finished and took me 77 hours)
- Marvel’s Spider-Man ( actually playing)

And plan to play The last of us 2 and ghost of Tsushima after Spider-Man

and once I will finish those games plan to play at demon’s soul and sackboy

Assassins Creed origins. I played off and on for a year or so. Been jumping back into it pretty hard lately. Feel like im never progressing as side quests and question marks just constantly pop-up. But im determined to beat it. So i can move on to Odyssey. And hopefully get around to buying Valhalla next black friday.

Just looked it up on eBay. Surprisingly cheap compared to other Saturn games. I'll add it to my wishlist, may actually pull the trigger once I put a dent in my backlog.

One of my best friends doesn't play much video games, but he definitely likes a puzzle video game, so it won't be hard to play against a human.

I just finished up God of War (fantastic), and recently TLOU2 (astonishing), so I’m currently on NFS 2016 (surprisingly enjoyable, especially after trying Payback), Far Cry 5 (not so enjoyable, but I’ve only just started) and Warzone (I play a couple of games a week but I suck).

I’m thinking of giving either Horizon or Days Gone a whirl next. Probably Horizon, I feel like Days Gone might feel like yet more grimness after GoW and TLOU2.

Finished Ori and the Blind Forest DE for the first time recently. It’s gone straight on my (metaphorical) list as one of my all time favourites. Tight, fun controls, beautiful graphics and music and a simple yet elegant story.

I’m in the middle of Jedi Fallen Order right now. The story seems generic as fuck, I really don’t care for it, but there’s some lovely scenery to explore and it’s pretty fun to hack up enemies and customise my sabre. Just seems like a fun romp.

Not sure what I’ll play after FO. Will of the Wisps or Hollow Knight.

I finished the original Watch Dogs (PC) last week. Definition of mediocrity. Not a terrible game, but not a game that I'll remember anything about either. Entirely forgettable. I just main-pathed it to get introduced to the series. I'll probably play 2 eventually, and then Legion.

Just finished Resident Evil 3 (2020) yesterday. Nice little 6-ish hour diversion, but nowhere near the amazing experience RE2 was. It felt more like an expansion than a standalone title. I love the RE universe so I still enjoyed it.

I'm probably 5 hours into Cyberpunk 2077, which I'm enjoying so far. Actually playing it on Stadia, which has its pros (4k graphics, HDR, can play on multiple devices) and cons (god damn input lag).

And then I'm still slowly working my way through Mario 3D All Stars. I finished SM64 for the first time, now I'm about 60 shines into Sunshine. If I have 20 minutes to kill it's kind of fun to jump in and get a quick shine or a star, and then walk away from the game for another day or 2 before I get back to it. $60 is a bit of a ripoff for this collection, but god damn the games hold up, and I know I'll revisit them probably annually. I can't complain.

Finished CoD Cold War after turning off ray tracing to prevent crashing (ya That’s the official fix fuck me lol). Dunno if I should go back to Valhalla or cyberpunk. Prob vahalla, screen tearing less distracting then buggy gameplay

Currently playing God of War on the ps plus collection. I missed out on it last gen but thankfully get to experience it in smooth 60fps.

I’m enjoying and recognise its quality but I don’t think it’ll have a last impression on me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Playing Yakuza Kiwami and yeah, it feels inferior to zero in many ways: the story is not as well told (at least up to chapter 8) and most of the sidequests are just meh.

Still a good game tho, so I'll beat it but probably give the Yakuza games a rest before diving into Kiwami 2, which I heard is much better than this one.

As for my next game I dunno. I have a cyberpunk itch so I'll probably replay Deus Ex:HR and then play for the first time Deus Ex:MD.

I'm currently playing the Kingdom of Loathing. Crimbo is most likely going to start after rollover so it's a perfect time to jump in.

I'm playing the remaster of Uncharted 1 for some reason (never played before).. It has strong mid-aught vibes. An elegant game for a more elegant time.

Cyberpunk 2077. Just started it yesterday so I'm still pretty early on, hoping to really get into the meat of the game this week. I'm fine with how it looks/plays so far on Series X.

I just started tonight, and yes, it looks really good on XSX. I guess expecting total trash dialed down my expectations.

If you enjoy the vibe of the first one, give Uncharted: Golden Abyss a try. It's the only other game in the franchise that expands/extends the feel of the first game.

The Legend of Zeruda: Four Swords Adventures (Wii + GC controller). Single player. Very fun in small doses.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (PC). A fellow gaffer some time ago said Duke Nukem DLC is worth replaying. Checking it out now. Game is still awesome.

I’m on Miles Morales. The RT 60 mode elevates it. But sadly I’m just not a fan of the series.

No grit, too juvenile or something. Lacks grounding in too many ways. Much prefer the darker, twisted tone of Batman.

I'm in Episode 5 of Death Stranding now. What a unique game.

I do not ever see myself replaying it again due to long and difficult traversal but I am strangly enjoying this now. Just getting for A to B and finding a good path over the mountains... I would not have thought this could end up being somehow entertaining for me. But it is.

Finally getting a bit of a grip when it comes to the story as well. Weird Kojima is weird... as usual. Luckily he decided to keep out the retarded humor that took over Metal Gear in the later parts here. Boss fight were quite amazing so far as well.

I'm honestly a bit surpised that Kojima managed to make a game this good as 3rd party dev. Usually when well known devs leave big publishers they only end up making shit (see Cliff) but this one is really high profile.

At first I was a bit salty because I bought this game at release and haven't played it until now when I could have bought it much cheaper but now that I'm playing it I'm glad I supported it.
