My first run through Dark Souls Remastered. I previously played through Bloodborne and DS3 and figured I'd give the original a go. So far I like it a lot, only at the gaping dragon, but I would say both of the newer games are better based on what I've played. Aside from the graphics (obvious), I actually like the art style of Bloodborne and DS3 better (although hard to tell how much of this is graphics). I can say 100% that the camera is much better in the later games.

That said, it has the same addicting quality and I'm def hooked. Off to beat a dragon....

Took down my first dreamer in Hollow Knight. This game is unbelievably good and it blows my mind just how big the world is. I stumble upon new areas and secrets every day and the gameplay is satisfying and addictive to boot. I was a bit lukewarm at first but now the temperature has risen to fucking volcano eruption and I think Hollow Knight is up there challenging the very best in the genre.

The art design is excellent and it may very well be the most gorgeous 2D-platformer/action game I´ve ever seen. The music is also beautifully crafted, with a somber and atmospheric soundscape, creating a magnificent mood that seeps through every level that I´ve encountered. The bosses are phenomenal and has been the true highlight of the game. Not a single one has been boring, instead Team Cherry displays confidence and imagination in conceiving these fearsome confrontations. All of the bosses have been highly skill dependent and as such, they are a ton of fun to battle.

Hollow Knight just oozes with charm and personality. It may not conjure up many original ideas, but it doesn´t matter because the game is so much fun to play, adding hours upon hours of stunning vistas, exciting exploration, secrets galore and challenging bosses. I´ve clocked 14 hours so far and are about to explore Kingdoms Edge, which I just happened to reveal by accident. I fucking love this game.

Just played a match of Halo 2 anniversary for the first time. I’m about to be all about this MCC shit for a while.

Also started Stacking. Seems like it’ll be a pretty fun little puzzle game. Love the art.

Finished Shenmue I, finished Atelier Sophie and now I'm getting ready to boot up Shenmue 2. Later in the day, I'll be playing it and see if holds up better than Shenmue I, at least.

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (New Game Plus) trying to finish up getting blades. Farming tons of core crystals right now. My luck sucks, so this has been a low process. When not doing that, then I'm thinking of jumping back into Battle Chasers Nightwar.

Some of the platforming sequences in Hollow Knight are ridiculously hard. The devs are really testing my patience with some of them, lol. Right now I have to jump on a caterpillar using downward thrust, then grab on to a rock and quickly jump over a couple of spikes (because I must keep up with the caterpillar) and then land on the caterpillar again, doing the same downward thrust. It fucking drives me nuts. It was a similar sequence in Greenpath where I had to jump on flying insects to get across. I think it was like eight or nine flies that I had to jump on with downward thrust. And there is no room for mistakes. One slip and it´s back to beginning, unless you time it one hundred percent.

Beat Resident Evil 5 and Halo: CE on Legendary. Going to The Division. Any first time tips or tricks I should know about?

Also, Resident Evil 5 was a lot better than many told me it was. Started slow though.

I'm currently playing War Clicks on PC and trying to climb on the TOP rankings there. Lots of players joined lately, which makes this little-war-game interesting to play.

Was looking over my backlog for a quick romp before Spiderman is released and my eye fell on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Holy shit that game is amazing. Controls and the general speed of the game is sooooo good on PC. Levels are also extremely varied. Was acutally laughing my ass off in the sniper town level because there was this one fucker shooting me and I just could not find it. Ended up watching vids on YT just to find that asshole. :pie_roffles:

Great game. I remember liking Medal of Honor back on the PSone but seem to have forgotten just how well made these games used to be.

Im playing several different games now but Im focusing on a replay of DOOM on Xbox one. Its such a refreshing FPS in this time of predictable shooters. No reloading, no health regen, carry as many weapons you want, and infinite sprint. The game is pure FPS nirvana just constant shooting and moving. I would recommend this game to any shooter fan.

Ni No Kuni II and I have to say that it is one of the best games I have ever played. I feel like the game gets a lot right regarding what a JRPG should be.

Return to Arkham Asylum, in lush 4K. Looks great.

Was Scarecrow always the 2nd boss or is this game playing out in a different order?

Playing Assassin's Creed Origins now, I had heard great things. But this game is blowing my mind. Wasn't all that interested in Odyssey, but I am now.

But that game is ancient.

Shenmue I&II and Halo MCC on the Xbox One X.

Shenmue I is buggy as hell, Halo CE stutters in cutscenes. But I’m still having fun.

Booted up No Mans Sky and dammit how much things have changed since I last played it. Started a new character altogether. Feels like a much more streamlined experience now and the scanner providing info on unscanned animals, resources, hidden artifacts and what not makes things so much easier and enjoyable. Third person perspective is a nice addition since I tend to get immersed more easily than first person. Overall, everything is better, and I liked a lot last time so I reckon I have a lot of hours ahead of me of simple fun space exploration. And the music is fantastic, really sets the mood. Saving up cash now for a better gun so I can shoot those pesky sentinals.

ME Andromeda. Im enjoying it and I guess most of the facial animations that caused a stir when the game was released has been fixed, because altough some are weird looking, they are not game breaking or anything like that.

Just one trophy left for Ni No kuni II to Platinum this amazing game. Now I get Dragon Quest XI played just little, but wow what an amazing world (shivers), I really put my time, when I finish Ni No Kuni II. Another game who is grabbing my time is PES2019, damn I love this game, but how other players in my club have many good players I cant understand :(

Same here. Game looks fine to me. Would love to see this game in 4k or at least on the X.

Nier Automata right now! :)
Me too. Just started route B and really love this game. Didn’t expect much going into it but it’s really much better then I expected.

Also can’t get that Become as Gods song loop out of my head and the version up on Spotify isn’t as good.

Started the Dark Souls Remaster the other day, never played before. I've only played Demon's Souls, and BB.

I like it so far, these games are incredibly similar obviously so if you like 1 you'll likely enjoy the rest.

I'm already at a bit of a hurdle though, and I'm not very far in. I just got to the rooftop gargoyle fight, and almost beat the damn thing first try, but didn't. So I came across this guy in the jail cell, who asks me to let him go. I did, and then read some shit online to see what this was going to result in. So this guy right at the start of the game, is going to at some point kill a person that allows one of the campfires to exist, unless I take him out. I understand these games are supposed to be hard, but FFS I already have to follow a FAQ to make sure I don't somehow unintentionally fuck this up. I don't mind the Souls grind and trying things over and over, but I hate this kind of stuff that fucks with core elements like the save spots.

about 10 hours into Cosmic star heroine...not quite sure where i'll go next... ps4 is packed up from moving, so i may just do some recent gog.com adventure pnc titles

After a couple of rough planets now in NMS, with radiation, toxic spores and extreme cold I finally landed on a beautiful lush planet, filled to the brim with green plants and blue water. Looks like paradise. Unfortunately a big storm flew by with some intense rain and heat, think the temperature was up at 152c at most, but after that was cleared life returned to normal. Saw some really strange creatures to, one looked like a camel had sex with a crab, who then went on and raped a spider. Most bizarre shit I´ve seen in this game. I will definitely set up camp here, building a base, get access to the exocraft vehicles and explore more thoroughly. I´ve mostly jumped from system to system because unhabitable and quite frankly, boring planets. Changed my appearance to, I´m now a corvax. Nice feature.

Hello Games have really ramped up the quality on this game. It looks much better now, both on planets and in space, with planetary rings, clouds, storms, strange bushes and freaky animals. Can´t wait to dig deeper in to this game and see what one can find. The exploration is really good, and I can roam for hours hording materials, finding eggs and treasures, monoliths and just upgrading my character, learning new languages. So much fun. I also want a new gun and ship now, saw a B class rifle with 25 slots, costing approx 2 million so gonna be saving up for that bad boy. Gonna play like crazy this weekend.

I'm not really sure what triggered this, but after many years of never touching or even thinking of it, I have been playing a lot of Half Life 2 on the PC. I completely forgot how good it was. So serene at times. And the world building is sensational. And there have been some revelations as well. I'm finding a lot more secret areas now than I ever have, and I don't remember the hoverboat sequence lasting so long. That bit started to feel like a chore towards the end. Just finished Ravenholm and loved it. Great game.

Also, I never knew they made it VR compatible but doesn't notice my headset. Is there a way to get it to work with the current retail version of the Rift? I did a little digging online and haven't been able to find anything.

My copy of SNK Heroines arrives in like an hour or two so that should take up most of the weekend. Still grinding God and Eternal armors for Xenoblade X as well. Might try to finish The Silver Case as well.

Actually finally playing through Witcher 3 Complete edition all the way. I stopped 1/4 way in on PC, complained about the combat (I admit), re-bought on PS4 and then AC:O's PS4 Pro Patch shenanigans made me wary of the PS4 Pro version (justified by the HDR patch comments), and then traded it in for the X1X version during a deal.

I guess maybe it's frame pacing or something, or maybe all the patches, but I like it quite a bit on the X1X, including the combat. The 4k/HDR is awesome and I'm loving it finally. Got through the slog of a beginning that I've done too many times now, Novigrad and now onto Skellige and I'm definitely enjoying it. Took me a while to get through this one. I played through 2 start to finish on PC, loved it. Witcher 1, ugh I tried to hard and just couldn't do it after the swamp. But 3 I'm now liking just as much as 2, moreso even in certain respects.

Hollow Knight on Switch.
It's really good, one of the best metroidvania ever, but it doesn't quite touch the heights of Super Metroid/Sotn/Zero Mission in my opinion.

Some of the few complaints i have:
1) Floaty platforming
2) Frustrating save positioning that forces tedious backtracking
3) Wandering in the dark to find the map can lead to frustrating sessions
4) Uninteresting plot so far

Am I the only one who thinks Hollow Knight is a bit shit then? I tried to like it, I really did, but it's doing nothing for me.
