Seriously, the gameplay loop in Breath of the Wild is pretty fucking boring.

Shrine - shrine - shrine -shrine - kill some monsters - collect some materials - shrine - side quest - shrine - cook some food you´ll never use - shrine - shrine - Divine beast - shrine - shrine - jump off a cliff - shrine - shrine - another side quest - collect some nuts - shrine - shrine - shrine - Divine Beast - kill a chicken and get rekt - sell some shit - shrine - shrine - Kill Ganon - the end.

And to not include the hookshot in a game like this? Where exploration is the number one key feature and you can climb anywhere on the map? It´s like getting a blow job but you are not allowed to come.

Ruiner - Played a little past the prologue. It seems really cool so far. Reminds a little of Hotline Miami...somehow.
CoD MW2 - Enjoying that backwards compatibility.
PUBG- Still suck ass at it. I don't know why I keep trying.

Black Ops 1 campaign, for old time's sake. Still fun!

And played a little Madden 2018, not feeling it though.

Replaying dead space 2. After that I'll probably play pikmin 3 as I just bought it online through a mynintendo deal (It was only $10USD, practically a steal!)

Mostly SNK Heroines. Haven't done much online yet since I'm working through all the story mode endings earning money for the last trophy. Tomorrow will be Shadow of the Tomb Raider from the redbox. I hate the reboot series but this one looks too entertaining in its awfulness to pass up.

Now, I'm fully playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on X1X.

After getting Witcher 3 on PC, briefly on PS4 Pro, then switching that in for the X1X version, I've finally beaten Witcher 3. Wow, I rushed a bit at the end. You can play that game FOREVER. Great game, I definitely enjoyed it in the end.

I have begun to play Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana. I´ve had it in my collection for some time but never got around to it, so I decided now is the time. My previous stints with Ys have all been positive so I´m pretty sure I will like this too. And it starts out okay, Adol and a bunch of others gets stranded on a mysterious island when the ship he is traveling with gets assualted by som Kraken-looking monster. The set up with camp building and finding castaways feels a lot like Suikoden when you gathered people in the fight against the Imperial. And boy do I miss Suikoden, so Ys 8 being reminiscent of that is really nice as it ewoks strong nostalgia feelings. Konami, get your fucking shit together and release a collection for current consoles. Or better yet, make a new one. How hard can it be?

The writing though is crappy as hell, with strange grammatical errors and just overall weak writing. And this is after the patch so I don´t even wanna know how bad this was before. I don´t expect stellar dialogue and story from a JRPG these days but this is beyond sub par. The voice acting is also shit but even so, all of this doesn´t deter from grand experience, much thanks to the superb gameplay which has always been a main hallmark for this series (at least in those Ys-games I´ve tried out). The characters are good and likeable and the story has this cosy, warm fuzzy feeling all over it, making it a treat to play.

I've never gone after achievements/trophies, so after finishing Spider-Man I started SMT Nocturne (yesterday) and then proceeded with Castlevania Lament of Innocense for PS3. PS3's digital library of PS2 games is awesome. I have so many SMT games on my PS3 and I have to use Legacy hardware to run them. Lament of Innocence is frustrating and good all at the same time. The game feels pretty good, but it isn't as fluid in terms of moving around and attacking enemies. I'm still having fun with it, but we've come a long way since 2003.

Nocturne is good too. I like how the dungeon crawling was in Strange Journey versus this 3D exploration. Some rooms and hallways are empty space.

Also Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the Anniversary Collection. Alpha 2 is excellent. It's such a shame Capcom couldn't have given it online capabilities. Their version of Alpha 3 character selection is poor in comparison to Alpha 3 MAX on PSP.

I think I'll get the Capcom Beat em up collection this next week.

Battlefield 1 singleplayer missions. "War stories." They're pretty good. Each of them have a story with drama, and it can be moving sometimes. I heard good things about the SP, and the game was on sale for $12, so I figured why not. It's been years since I played a straightforward military shooter.

Like many others, I recently finished Spider-man, and absolutely loved my time with it. I'm now working my way through Dragon Quest XI and am about 15 hours in. Liking it a lot so far, definitely scratching that JRPG itch better than Octopath did (for me at least).

Copped BF1 for like six bux this past week. Need to get to that soon. It’s enhanced on the X now so I’m eager to see what was an already beautiful game look even better.

Playing Shadow of War on the X. Looks gorgeous and is fun as hell. Massive improvement over the first game. With the introduction of loot and orc rarity levels, it gives the nemesis system the additional hooks it needed.

The citadel capturing and online components offer greater variety to keep you engaged and now that the micro transactions have been removed this game is an absolute winner.

Just reached the Mordor region and seeing Mount Doom for the first time was awesome.

Going to start, 'What Remains of Edith Finch'.

Completed 'King's Quest' last night. May do either Thimbleweed Park or Oxenfree after. Doing some adventure games to break up AAA fatigue before RDR2 hits.

Been playing Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis) over and over again during the past 2 weeks. I basically play as far as I can on 1 credit, and then start over. I'm getting better, but it is a long game. Tons of variety in the stage design as you progress through the game. The minecart level is such a pain...

Still playing Daioujou. I got a score of 55 million and made it all the way to the final stage on one credit. That means a 1cc is within reach.

Still playing Octopath. 110 hours in and I just can't bring myself to beat the remaining Ch.4s. The game is a masterpiece.

Going to start, 'What Remains of Edith Finch'.

I liked Edith Finch, although not as much as some. Oxenfree was a kick.

I take it you mean the new KQ? What did you think? I’ve played about an hour of it.

I just finished it now. I thought it was a charming story, and really neat how they did the chapters. This was far better than Gone Home.

I will play Oxenfree next me thinks.

It was not bad, but not anything amazing. Had it's funny moments, my absolute favorite character was Whisper, lol. Felt like a Disney styled story in a way that was very well acted, and Christopher Lloyd was treat to hear.

Witcher 3. It's more massive than I could have imagined. The sheer number of side quests are draining my soul doe

Still, it's addictive as hell and the tech never ceases to amaze. Cannot believe this is a 3 year old game

people still playing Vita these days? That's awesome... such an underrated handheld... only a few months left for ps plus games

My buddy just told me on Twitch that he fired his up again today to clean up some trophies for the Plat in Saturday Morning RPG (which I will be picking up soon to dust it off and play on it as well), and started really liking it again. Said he missed playing on it, and was a good change up from the PS4Pro.

Decided to play 'Grim Fandango Remastered' next.

'Oxenfree' will probably be after.

I keep coming back to it which I don't do with games I dislike, but it's the biggest game undertaking I've done in my life. There's 7,000 fetch quests and some quests make you keep going from A to B to C to D and then back to A. I'm at least 100 hours into it and there's at least 100 hours to go. Mind boggling.

It's one of the most draining games I've played but also very rewarding

The Witcher 3 was one of those rare games where, when I finished the game and all the DLC, I sat there silent watching
that ending on the hill
, feeling a sense of euphoria, but also loss because it was over.

IMO, half the inconsequencial side quests could have been cut and it still would have been game of the generation.

Exhibit A: The playing as Ciri stuff. Just so unnessescary

Some serious editing should have been applied

I'm about 30 hours into Yakuza 0 now and am having a lot of fun. My only criticism is that sometimes I want to just jump in and play for an hour but there is so much dialogue or storytelling in the game that sometimes I can 'play' the game for an hour but not actually do much gameplay.

Still also playing Trackmania Turbo which is the complete opposite of Yakuza 0. That game is instant action and great for shorter play sessions. I really love how quick and easy it is to restart a race or course without having to wait ages for it to load. It means that I spend my time constantly racing which I really appreciate.

So I just finished Shenmue II on the Shenmue I & II collection.

It's been said a million times before, but this is one of those cases where the sequel blows the original completely out of the water. Everything about S2 is a massive improvement: plot, pacing, characters. It makes the original feel so abursdingly small and limited, it makes one think that they were strecthing the original to make the game feel larger than it was.

The characters are far more interesting, Ryo being out of his element on a distant land makes walking around town feel like a real adventure.

60 Hours into Dragon Quest XI. Loving every moment of the game. Got all the new releases. Spider-Man, Kiwami 2, Tomb Raider and Shenmue. But they can all wait because Dragon Quest XI is so good. Can't believe I'm playing Dragon Quest on a console again. Given that I have all the new releases. I have as long as I remember only stuck to 1 game at a time until I finish(good game or bad) it then I move on to the next game. But I don't want Dragon Quest to end. Dragon Quest VIII is still my favourite and I really enjoyed DQ 7 on 3DS but DQXI is really amazing!

I am currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2! I got my copy today. It's pretty cool but a bit too big for my taste. Felt like I was going from point a to point b in a really slow manner. Lots of customization though. Get it if you haven't.

Because of RE2 coming out in January I thought I play through all the RE games. Should probably last until Christmas. I've already gone through RE: Dead Aim (on PCSX2 using a Wiimote as the lightgun). Pretty great, better than actually palying it on original hardware. I want to give the Outbreak games a try, but at the moment I'm halfway through RE6.

This is a game I hated when it came out, but on PS4 with all the wrinkles ironed out it's fun. I wouldn't call it a good RE game, but as a dumb TPS it good. I've only just really started getting into the whole countering thing. Gunplay is ok, heads going pop never gets boring to me. Overblown cutscenes can be skipped and rather than it seeming like the mess it was at launch it now seems too ambitious.

Completed Leon's campaign, mostly finishing up Chris' campaign - which is my least favourite, but playing as Piers with the Anti-Material rifle is pretty sweet.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The game you're claiming to be playing hasn't been released yet. Posting a picture of you playing the game wouldn't even be enough to prove that you actually got a copy. And don't ask us to just believe you.
