What game are you currently playing?

Shantae: Risky’s Revenge. PC (Steam) version.
I don’t recommend it because of display issues: the framerate is unstable (whereas I play on a GSync monitor) and the characters in the menus are somewhat blurry (even though the display is reduced to an integer scale).
It goes so far as to make the game unplayable if you are sensitive to framerate and display issues.
Not sure if these problems are specific to the Steam version. I won’t take the risk on another PC version; I’ll rather buy it on Wii U.

Dead Aim, huh? Non-Canon but i hear its one of the best non-canon RE games out there

It's a bit bland, but I like light gun games and playing it with a Wiimote and nunchuck is way more comfortable than using the dinky d-pad on the guncon. I've played the mainline games a few times so I want to try out less familiar ones as well.

Played a loooot of Spider-Man in the last 3-4 days.

I am loving it.

Yeah, sub-missions are mostly repetitive, but traversal and fighting are some of the best, maybe the absolute best in an open world game.

It`s definitely in my top 5 this year.

Beat The Division and Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Liked the Division a lot.

Going to Ori and The Blind Forest.

Finally beat Doom on ps4, the only problem with it is they always lock you in rooms and can't get out till you clear on the demons. Other then that the game is fine. They need to come up with some other objectives then locking the player in the room every time demons show up.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, playing through the games again to catch up on the story again, but mostly simply because I can't wait for 3.

At the moment NHL19 and just finished The Inpatient last night for PSVR. Overall the presentation wasn't the best in The Inpatient, I see why people were abit thrown off basically just walking around, interacting with a few items and NPC's, it kinda plays like P.T. like that. and I also found the character models to be a little too big, that was something that maybe could have been patched. What I really liked about the game was the suspense it managed to create. The environment was scary as fuck and did a good job of convincing my mind terrible things were going to jump out from behind every door. That maybe could have been utilized more but overall I feel like I got my $29.99 CAD's worth from this. The other part I liked was the voice controls when making your choices, talking to the NPC's, I'm not sure why this isn't used more often but it actually added something to the game, it made me feel as if I was part of the story more. Its likely I will go back and try to aim for other endings as this game has multiple endings to it.

I'm also thinking playing all the KH games and also watch Disney movies that will be on KHIII. I'm so damn hyped for KHIII.

Playing dragon quest and spiderman. I think I'm going to focus on Dragon quest and play spiderman in small chunks since I'm not liking it too much from the little that I have played of it.

Amazon just shipped my copy of Red Dead Redemption 4, so I'm playing that. It's good, but kinda slow paced with the big openworld.

I might shelve it to play Final Fantasy XVII which has been sitting unopened on my shelf a few months.

playing The Legend of Zelda on the Switch NES app. TLOZ and Bloodborne: the alpha and omega!

was kind of surprised to kill something, exit the screen, and come back and not have them respawn. TLOZ with the persistent open world!

i saved my game and noticed a number under my avatar. the game keeps track of how many times you die! this was 30 years before Dark Souls 2.

mostly just gta5 online o.0 pretty much for the last month since i eased out of NMS. mostly been sticking to Blaine County, doing biker businesses and gunrunning out in the desert, mostly driving trucks and such. mostly only go into the city for my nightclub to do a sale here and there (After Hours, more like AFK Hours haha). new deliveries are nice tho and a few of the promotion missions are fun (e.g. smashing up developers' cars).

RDR2 probably next. think i'll just play GTAO and maybe some GR Wildlands until then...

DQ11 is my wild card. definitely gonna play it but tempted to save it for the xmas holiday break and 'binge playing during a nice snowy week break from work' haha.

PS4

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy - finished getting 100% so I'll start hitting up training mode and online.

Yakuza 0 - going a little slow since I'm hitting all the substories as they pop up.

The Silver Case - two chapters down.

Wii U

Xenoblade X - grabbing all the God and Eternal armors.

Right now playing Evil Dead Regeneration on my "new" PS2.
That is one game that really deserves a remaster for current gen systems.
I love it.

You're obviously from the future. Can you tell us when PS5 launches and what the specs are?

Was playing DQXI but wasnt really getting into the game and characters , went back to FFXII, as the characters are more interesting. It keeps getting stalled by all these new games and I really need to finish it for the first time.

Currently working through Yakuza 0 which is absolutely lovely (think I may have mentioned it before) - wasn't sure it'd be my kind of thing but it's just glorious. Wonderfully silly, a lot of fun, some nice nods to silly game tropes, the ability to play Outrun in an arcade.. glorious.
Also just got Far Cry 5 and that's a load of fun. I know it got some bad press for reasons, but it's good brainless fun. I love storming the outposts. Pretty pleased they got rid of the tower climbing (nice nod to that early on) and the enemy is just the right kind of brainless to have some fun with them. Wild animals are a bit overpowered mind you, but I'm quite early in the game so maybe that changes.
Picked up a copy of Boiling Point 2nd hand on Amazon (can't buy it anywhere for download) and that's rather fun. I'd forgotten just how ugly the graphics are, and the voice acting is fucking atrocious, but the game itself is a good crack.
Honourable mention for Divinity 2 which I've been dipping in and out of, and a long-term football manager 2017 save with Millwall in our 2nd season in the champions league - I took over when they were bottom of the Championship seemingly destined for relegation after a strong season at York.

Other projects - found my RasPi 1 is too weedy to run a Plex server so I'll be setting up RetroPie on it instead, and my new Pi 3 can handle plex duties. The RetroPie will be furnished with a full range of Snes and Megadrive classics, plus staples of the Atari ST and Amiga - 16-bit forever.

Currently playing Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch.

Goddamn, what a pleasant surprise. I mean, I like Fire Emblem series A LOT and you'd think that I will insantly love this game too just based of that alone but... I'm really not a huge fan of mindless action games in which you killl hundred upon hundreds of enemies in just one battle and this game is almost nothing about that at all. I'm playing on Classic and you really need to think what you do on the battlefield and how you do it, and you can't just go and fight your way through with just one character and call it a day etc. This game actually makes you think a lot and that is what Fire Emblem games all about too, well, amongst other things ( ^ _ _ ^ )

Do you guys think that I'll like Hyrule Warriors too? Does this game also as complex as Fire Emblem Warriors in terms of gameplay, tactics and strategy mechanics and not just a mindless action game like pretty much majority of Warriors games?

The jump from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario Bros 3 is very impressive. I´m at world 6 right now and the game just blows the original out of the water in every possible way, from the scope to the graphics to the music and sound, it´s just on a whole different level. So much variety and crazy ideas, it´s like Miyamoto and Tezuka had a birthday party every day during the production of it. SMB layed the groundwork but SMB 3 took it to a whole new level. Not even Super Mario World made that kinda leap despite better tech at hand.

I remember the hype leading to its release when Nintendo-Magasinet (Swedish newsletter outlet in the 80s) made a big coverage of it and published the first screens. It was like "holy hell at them graphics!" and they also showed the Tanooki Suit which made my mind flip in every direction. Everybody in school talked about SMB 3 (well, me and my nerdy friends at least) and the wait for it to release was unbearable. I got my hands on it as a christmas gift from my parents when I was like 10 years old but I had the luxury of playing it a couple of months before due to my friends older brother importing a pirated copy of it. Man I miss those sweet innocent days when gaming had just begun.

Far Cry: Primal. I'm loving it. Much better than Far Cry 5, so far. The new setting and weapons make it feel like a new game, not just another iteration of Far Cry. And I'm loving the fact that they set it in pre-historic times. Good stuff. Hardly any games do this.

p.s. It's on sale for $15 on PSN right now ($16 for the Apex edition).

So many collectibles, but I found even getting them enjoyable - it was farming the resources that became tedious near the end. Fantastic game though.

The fight against The Predator had me seething for a while!

NHL 19. Haven't played the series in several years so not sure if it's improved or not over recent iterations, but it is fun and really looks great on the One X.
