Seriously?

Why is it that I've been mugged 4 times in the past year (just moved here over a year ago), in a town with about 80,000 people? I mean seriously, what goes through teenagers heads to make them want to do this? Is it because they feel they need to be better than everyone else? Is it because I'm fucking small (110lb male)? Do they have a mental illness? I just don't get it.

Just a couple months ago, I was going for a walk at night and some guys honked at me inside their Jeep, did a U-turn and chased me into a fucking parking lot. I had to run into a Forest to get them off of me.

A few weeks ago, I was commented on how I dress, and I'm constantly followed by teenagers on my way home from work. I'm so bloody paranoid of going outside because of people like this. Who honestly walks behind you and starts barking like a dog? Seriously?

Then to bring something up from a post I made earlier in another thread.

What is the point of this? What does this even accomplish?

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, maybe I don't understand the human race, or I just don't know shit about anything, but this is stupid.
I feel I should stand up for myself, but last time I did that I got headbutted and beaten up.
 
You need to move again. I don't where the you live now but most of the civilized world doesn't act like this.

EDIT: Canada? Do you live in Alberta....
 
Maybe you're a target for people? 4 muggings in one year sounds like 4 too much. I would consider walking with another person or taking alternate means of transportation.

Probably has a lot to do with your size. It makes you look like an easy target. Not much you can do about that.

If you get desperate enough, move to Florida, buy a gun, start shooting the people that fuck with you and then hide behind the Stand Your Ground law. Its the new hotness these days.

I can't drive so thats out. I had people with me one time I was mugged.
There were about 6 people in a car.

I would if my body wasn't stubborn. I can barely gain weight, let alone keep muscle on my body. I also find that I get enough workout from my job (Goodwill).

Yeah, I was going to make the point that if the OP was in the US he most likely would be dead by now, or in prison.
 
You should take acting lessons. If you know well enough how to act like someone who doesn't want to be F U C K E D with, then most people will be able to read the body language and take the hint. It's the least violent way, and you could become a Hollywood Star and donate millions to people like yourself too.
 
Carry some kind of self defense weapons (whatever is legal in Canada), and it sounds like it is a small town, and generally small town people aren't very open minded (at least in the States) so they may have a prejudice about you for some reason or have a perception about you. Not much you can do about it but carry a weapon and actually use it. but four times in a year also sounds like you're being targeted and word spread maybe, either way if you don't want to move again, get some weapons.
 
110lbs, you sound very muggable. In fact, after reading the OP, I want to mug you, chase you with my jeep then make fun of your clothes.
 
I don't know, man. That raccoon is pretty cool but the other stuff sucks.

Take a self defense class maybe?
 
Shit, I don't know what to say. I live in Rich Man's Land (north Texas), and the most antagonizing I get around here is all subliminal apathy from my peers. I'd try to get a carpool buddy if I were you (unless you already have one); I don't know anything about gun laws in Ontario, but it wouldn't hurt to train at a range just in case the opportunity to get a home-defense weapon comes up.

Reading your height and weight, though, I think you're an easy target for mugging in a small town. You're suffering from some subversive Straw Dogs crap here, but we'll help you get through.
 
The sooner you realize that humans are disgusting animals the better. Trust no one, and don't ever give anyone the opportunity to hurt you.
