What ISN'T the best game ever created?

I really enjoyed those systems, is just that I consider that Halo:CE is the best game that I've played for a number of reasons that I would need to write an essay about it.
Is that hard to understand?
 
I just played a Sonic fangame where Tails smolders with generic rage and swears and Sally is a goth drama queen.......that has to count for something:(

I approve of this thread and the pathetic whining it's generated from people whose sensibilities are offended by some of the answers, especially from those who put in their own deliberately inflammatory choices. :D

I see no mention of Fantastic Four for the PSX in here. Possibly one of the greatest reviews ever written (by the former Next-Gen mag). One star, and in the review they apologized to all the other games they ever gave one star to.

Definitely Ocarina of time, also Metroid Prime. People just keep on overhyping these games. They ARE pretty good, but far from perfection.
 
If the thread keeps up, after the 6th or so page, the candidates for BEST GAME EVER will be reduced to the crappiest games ever created.

Oh, that's easy, everything but Yoshi's Island. But as I don't know the name of every game ever released and I don't have to write them down anyway, I'll just put it this way ^^.

When I read his comment I thought that he meant the 'best game' for MS in terms of sales. Didn't Halo 2 sell like 7 million copies day one or something outrageous....beating out blockbuster movies that w-end?

Yes, this thread will go forever, but that's good.
The vast majority of "OMG 10/10 5 STAR YOU A WINNAR" games today simply piss me off.


I think a better approach would be to poll all the major sites for ratings of 90% or more
(be it 4 and a half stars, 9/10, etc.) and just knock off games that obviously got through with money hats.

After that, we can bitch endlessly and achieve nothing.
