What mouse do you use?

+1

Damn good mouse. Been using it for close to a year now.

Yeah same here!

I recently bought a Roccat Kone XTD and I'm very happy with it.

Good choice, I'm glad you're happy with it too :)

Wow that's some amazing looking mouse o.o Would love to try that one someday as I never heard of it before :o

Been searching for a new mouse the last two weeks myself, the G9 was still in good shape after 5 years but I wanted to try something new. I first bought a Deathadder but a) it turns out I can't live without a few more extra buttons, b) the software didn't let me assign certain key combos (despite using macros), c) the click of the buttons on the side is loud as §%!§ and d) after an hour of use something broke inside and rattled around.

Fortunately amazon.de had the Roccat Kone Pure Optical for 44€ which was my second choice so I've been using that since Monday.

So far I'm pleased, very precise, pleasant mousewheel (still prefer the G9's one but many others are too loud with too much resistance), good software, comfy shape. Could be a little wider but bigger mice are generally too long for my small hands which is why I liked the shape of the G9 so much (thought about the R.A.T.s but I wanted an optical sensor as a contrast). Not sure about the rubber surface though, it feels great now but also like it will wear off fast. And the lift off distance is noticeably higher compared to the DA.

Honestly?

SteelSeries-Diablo-III-Mouse.jpg

It was on clearance at Walmart and I love Diablo, so I had to buy it. I've never had a mouse that was more than $20, so it was a huge step up for me. I'll probably end up getting something new within the next year, though.

That is the same way I got a sensei raw. The CoD Blops II branded version was dirt cheap on Amazon at one point, much cheaper than the standard one.

Looking at Amazon right now the diablo version $17.50 which is a steal. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005L38QK2/?tag=neogaf0e-20 At that price I think I might order a few spares.

The Zowie AM

Very comfortable mouse, but the scroll wheel is a bit bigger than I'd like. I've sorta gotten used to it but I'll probably get a Logitech G502 Proteus Core at some point.

I was primarily using the trackball on my Enermax Aurora Micro Wireless keyboard as i now have my PC wired to my TV 100% of the time, i ws using the K/TB to surf etc and then using a gamepad for gaming. Thing is i was missing out on so many games that where just better with a mouse, as such i got this nice little thing for £1 (i bought a few broken PS3 pads for £2 each, fixed them and sold them off for profit and then used the money for the mouse).

Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX.
http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/product/anywhere-mouse-mx

It really is a nice mouse and works perfectly on my sofas arm rest, its very comfy to use and its very nice to have no wires at all while sitting on the sofa,

This is a great mouse, and I use it exclusively for work... but no middle click on the wheel is a deal breaker on most games. (all the middle click does is turn the 'clicky' scroll on and off.)

I mostly play with controller but (to me) it works fine and i prefer it for work/browsing over a standard mouse.

I love my M570. This trackball is so comfortable. I cant imagine using anything else for normal browsing etc activities....also works very well for my htpc

Note that one of the most criticised aspects of the G502 is its scrollwheel. Too wobbly and not enough grip because it's 100% metal. Also when scrolling it randomly doesn't register a step. Seeing how many have complained about these issues it doesn't look like only a few units are affected and more like a general problem.

SteelSeries-Xai-Laser.jpg

Steelseries Xai. Elegant, sleek, fits my hand. Has easy adjustable DPI-settings. Great mouse!

Microsoft Wireless Mouse 3500. Yeah, I'm notorious for my cheapassery, but the only PC gaming I do right now is League of Legends. It's amazing how much of an upgrade a $15 mouse is, and the difference shows in my cs.

Depending what I'm doing I use 2 mice.

For just general use(browsing and navigating windows), fps games and general games that are not MMO's I use the Roccat Kone XTD.

I also use a Razer Naga 2014 for general MMO games.

It was only recently I realised I could have 2 mice hooked up at once

Roccat Kone XTD. Superb performance, but it feels a little too large in my hand and smudging on the soft-touch material kicks my OCD into overdrive. Been eyeing a Mionix Avior 7000

I've got one of those for a year now and I really like it. It's comfortable, wireless (I love that) and works on my glass table. But I have a question for other MX Performance owners.

Is your mousewheel a little loose or maybe too sensitive?

I think mine is since 3 months after I bought it. Like sometimes it goes off on its own or moves more steps when I want it to move only one. For instance playing minecraft sometimes I want to select next toolbar item and the selector moves 3 or 4 steps more than I wanted.
To be clear, this is when the mousewheel is set in "step-by-step mode", not "free mode".

MX Performance mouse.

I don't think I could ever go back to wired mice after using them so for long.

02357746-photo-logitech-performance-mouse-mx-1.jpg

Been through the intellimouse 3.0, ace edge 3200, g9 and g9x, deathadder 2013, and the performance mouse mx beats them all in comfort, it just fits perfectly in my hand, and doesn't have tacked on bullshit that I don't need.
Also works on most surfaces, it's just the perfect mouse for me and I laugh at those who says it isn't good for gaming.

Trackballs for work.

Taipan for play, which replaced a Diamondback that still works great but has rubber coming off of the buttons.

It's unfortunate that Razor stopped making the Diamondback.. that was a great mouse.

ms-sidewinder-x5.jpg

Love this mouse so much, Say what you will about MS, they make (made?) some solid PC hardware.

Still the best thumb buttons ever. I don't know why nobody else stacks the thumb buttons vertically instead of horizontally but it's a more natural arrangement in my opinion.

Sensei RAW. I replaced my aging MX518 with it and have been very happy. MX518 was great too.

I want to get the Steelseries Rival next.

Naga Hex

The six side buttons are perfect since I play mobas. I've had it for about a year now and I have dust issues with the mouse wheel sometimes, but I just blow in it and it works fine. It's most like because I bring it with me in my backpack a lot.

Build quality of Razer is beyond shitty though. Two of my friends use a Razer Naga and none of them ever lasted longer than ~1,5 years. Pure garbage.

I have two Nagas and both of them have survived thousands of hours of mmo thrashing for 2+ years.......... no worse for wear......

SteelSeries Sensei, super happy with it.

Might go back to Logitech since I miss their scrollwheel, G502 seems great. Not in a rush though, maybe when my Sensei is spent.

Corsair Vengeance M65

m65_green_viewb_lit_1_1.png

Had a sensei raw but couldn't use it because it was too slippery and I couldn't keep myself from pressing the side buttons on the right side. It's just how I hold a mouse.

Been using the Razer Lachesis for a couple of years, really good for me as i'm left handed and the mouse has buttons on the right side.

Logitech Performance MX, best mouse I've ever used. I'm really dreading the day this thing dies.
People can't believe I play games with a wireless mouse. I've had G5, G9 and MX518 beforehand and I honestly can't feel the difference between wired or not.

I have a Naga 2014 that I got at the end of last year. I really like it. Once you have those buttons for casting spells, special moves, etc, you can never go back. My only complaint is that it is VERY sensitive to vibrations. Whenever my speakers get particularly loud it derps pretty hard.

I had the original Naga for 3-4 years that I bought for MMOs than it started dying (left click double clicked everything, scroll wheel was fucked) so I replaced it with a RAT 5 or 7 from currys because I had a giftcard their..

The RAT was horrible, uncomfortable, scroll wheel was annoying, buttons in stupid places, didn't like the way it left clicked, looked really cool though.

So I returned the RAT and replaced it with the only other decent looking mouse they had, a Logitech G600:

It's great, super comfortable, the side buttons are much easier to use than the Naga's, but much cheaper. Decent software and even though it's white (they didn't have any blacks) it doesn't get dirty.

Would recommend it 9/10.

People can't believe I play games with a wireless mouse. I've had G5, G9 and MX518 beforehand and I honestly can't feel the difference between wired or not.

My secondary backup mouse was some shitty budget wireless mouse I used mainly for operating my computer from the sofa/bed, but yeah I never noticed any latency differences between it and my normal wired mouses either in fps or mmos.

Yeah the middle scroll wheel button setup was a very strange choice, i managed to adjust to the button being behind the wheel very quickly, but it was still a very weird design decision to have it like that.

Deathadder 2013. Love it.

Want to check out the new EVGA mouse when they finally ship because "dat" carbon fiber.

I really like this mouse, it feels good in my hand and it is just simple. I used to have a Naga but the optical sensor broke, it would only track horizontal movement. I don't play MMO's much anymore, so I don't mind giving up the extra buttons, even though they were pretty nice to have.

Laptop:
Logitech M570
I mostly use my laptop while I am on the couch or somewhere similar where a standard mouse would be cumbersome to use. I actually really like it quite a bit.

I'm on mobile, so could someone post a pic of the Cooler Master Storm Recon?

I just got it two days ago, so my opinions are rather "fresh". I usually just play a bit of Team Fortress 2 every day or so until my laptop crashes, but it's been one hell of a mouse for the two times I've played. While the mouse itself feels rather large, it is very comfortable to use for long periods of time.

I've used it for about 7 hours straight in Illustrator, and the mouse wasn't uncomfortable throughout the time I was editing art. The mappable keys are nice and reachable, with an extra set for left-handed users. I'm really happy with this thing, and it only cost me $30.

Much love to all you folk using a G5. Still use my original single thumb button G5

Benn thinking about replacing it, but not sure with. May just go G500s. What's everyones opinion on the G502, 602 and 700?

Razer_Diamondback_Plasma_Limited_Edition_Precision_Gaming_Mouse.jpg

I've been rocking one of these for ten years now. It's incredible how accurate it is (for my purposes). It has never, not even once, caused the mouse pointer to jump across the screen.

steel series sensei mlg edition

it couldn't be more accurate, but it's an ambidextrous mouse so I may one day upgrade to something that's made to ergonomically fit a right hander such as myself

the logitech proteus core felt like fucking heaven to me in the stores that have it available to try
