What mouse do you use?

This one

Cheap, and works great for booting up pcsx2, followed by grabbing a controller :3

MX Performance mouse.

I don't think I could ever go back to wired mice after using them so for long.

Yep, this is my axe. Just replaced mine after a few years of hard use (mouse was still fine but rubber was all smoothed out and the battery life was becoming iffy.)

I have a few mice I've been rotating through trying to find a worthy successor for my G5.

So far the G500s is the closest. Its actual click, however, is kind of soggy, there isn't the precision of the G5 and I have little confidence it will last as long - travel is much further, it doesn't feel as good.

However, it is nice having the extra buttons and the scroll wheel is so much better than the old G5 the old mouse might as well not have had one.

The Xornet is okay but I'm glad it wasn't too expensive because I don't really care for the shape and it just feels cheap.

My first gaming mouse was the Logitech MX518.
After that i bought a Logitech G400, right before the G400s came out. I have the one without the flaws and with the updated processor. I checked it using info online to be sure. I might buy a back-up one but they're harder to find now. Always used a SteelSeries Quake Heavy mouse mat (the huge ass one). The G400 i a really good replacement for a MX518.

In the 24 minutes since my first post in this thread I got some serious MMO mouse envy, done a little research, and bought one of these.

I hope you're happy, GAF.

I have a logitech G600 as well, I replaced my 5 year old razer naga with it. This is a damn fine mouse. Seriously, the best thing about the G600 is the concaveness of the thumb pad let you be able to feel what key is what. Being able to swap between three profiles / DPI settings on the fly is also awesome. I have one set for FPS's, one for MMOs and one for casual browsing.

Also the logitech software is 10 times better than the razer software.

My favorite thing about the mouse oddly enough is the left and right mouse wheel tilt being registered as mouse 4 and mouse 5, I use those as bindings all the time now lol.

Been using the Logitech g5 since 2007, still feels good as new and will probably last for another 10 years.
But because of sweat the logo disappeared (makes it look better though)

I use a Corsair Weighted mouse with a slow-mo button for more precise aiming.

Forget what it's called, but it's awesome.

EDIT:

M45 Raptor:

This exact one.

Corsair's new Raptor M45, same as above guy. I love it. Best casual mouse on the market imo. Only thing wrong is the sandpapery stuff on the side panels wears off a little quick. Still doesn't have that sticky plastic feel I LOATHE on mouses of any kind.

Seriously, the mouse guys that use glossy, sticky plastic on any surface of a mouse that is touched need to be spanked HARD.

"Forget what it's called, but it's awesome."

Oh yeah.

Used a Deathadder Black Edition until a couple months ago as the mousewheel collapsed into it.

Now I use a Logitech G400. I don't really like the form factor all that much, I don't really like the grips, and the DPI button placement drives me nuts. Might get a Steelseries Rival in the future if I can find that it functions as I need it to without software.

Had a sensei raw but couldn't use it because it was too slippery and I couldn't keep myself from pressing the side buttons on the right side. It's just how I hold a mouse.

I suspect most people disable the right side buttons completely in the software. I did.

Currently rocking the MX1100 that came with my Logitech Wave keyboard.

Could someone point me to the cheapest place (shipping to Europe) where I could buy a Sensei Raw?

Bought the G602 today, Best Buy had it on sale for $60 down from $80. I haven't used it for very long, but so far I'm really impressed with the responsiveness:

Feels nice in the hand, smooth glide, and the bottom row of buttons are easy to "rock" with your thumb. I probably won't ever use the top row for much of anything, to be honest. The only thing I'd change about the design is maybe adding a small lip on the left hand side for a pinky rest, to match the thumb rest on the right. I like that you can flick the middle switch from "performance" to "endurance" mode to extend battery life whenever you're just browsing or doing daily work (it drops the polling rate to 125 from the performance mode's 500). It also works with just one AA if you prefer a lighter mouse (it's by no means heavy, though). I also like that it's not littered with flashing or pulsing lights, just the normal indicators for dpi switching and switching modes. It uses a dedicated nano receiver, not the unifying ones Logitech normally puts in the box. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Magic Mouse.

Yeah, you guessed it - I don't play on my computer. Still got a Logitech MX Anywhere if I feel like running one or two rifts in Diablo 3, but that doesn't happen really often.

Zero interpolation (only mouse out right now that can boast this), perfect tracking, great ergonomics.

Sensei and G400s are both great too though.

Using a CM Storm Spawn, I like it quite a bit but I've been getting an annoying amount of jitter lately even after upgrading to the latest firmware. Was tempted to get a logitech g9x since it's the only other mouse of the relatively the same button layout and dimensions which I love about the Spawn. It's rather unfortunate that the choices for claw / finger tip grip mice are rather limited.

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0

I still use this mouse after almost a decade (I used the "older" version that was the same thing previously) and it's just simply the best IMO. Excellent drivers/mouse utility under OSX, natively supported by Windows, and it looks badass. I honestly have yet to find something better that meets my criteria (unbloated driver for OSX/Windows, has 2 buttons on the same side and is wired).

They stopped making it a few years ago but thankfully I have a unopened one in case this one fails someday. I may look into another at some point!

I want to upgrade to a Zowie EC1 eVo

Will probably upgrade during the end of the year with a bunch of other PC components and whatnot

Had it for three years and it's been great. Awesomely responsive and gloriously fast - I have mine set to 6,000 dpi.

razer-lachesis-5600-gallery1.jpg

I've been using a Razer Lachesis for about 2 years and it. is. terrible.

Sometimes it gets locked into only being able to send horizontal movements to the computer. Meaning, move up and down all you want, the pointer isn't going anywhere, but left and right are fine.

The left mouse button has turned to shit and will sometimes register single mouse clicks as double clicks.

Finally, it and/or its drivers will go nuts and start sending endless hardware interrupts to my system. The more you move the mouse, the more CPU it sucks up. Around 50% of the total cpu devoted to your mouse while trying to play Dota 2 results in a bad time. Unplugging it and reconnecting it usually fixes it, for a while.

Eventually mine stopped having vertical movement completely. I bought a taipan that has those problems less often. It seems to be software related when it does happen now. I was cruising this thread to see what is out there because updating razers software screwed up my mouse last night.

Let's bump this bitch. More people need to discuss mice.
Also keyboards. Because I'm thinking of getting a new one.

My poison: Sharkoon Fireglider Black. Onboard memory for configs, dpi switching in hardware, macro interpreter in software (I think?). I don't use the latter in games, but it makes life much more comfortable on a day-to-day basis.

Not pictured: the hatch for the weights. Nice to have, but I prefer my mice to weigh a ton so it's kinda useless for me: I left it with all weights inside.

Was pretty damn affordable, too, at least as these things go.

Only complaint: WHY BLINKING?! Thank god that stuff can be configured away, but the very idea of a mouse with a blinking and color-changing LED is insanity. Admittedly, it's hidden below your finger most of the time and only occurs at certain DPI settings, but still. Fuck that. Fuck it with a rusty spork.
