What mouse do you use?

I've been using a Razer Salmosa for around 5 years or so. I've somehow managed to survive that long with just 2 buttons.
That is one of the better mice I have owned. I upgraded to a Lachesis and than Taipan for more buttons but the Salmosa was a really good mouse. I gave it to a friend who still uses it.

It's pretty great, as it's both stylish and very portable. You turn it on by snapping it into the curved position and turn it off by snapping it back into the flat position. The only issue is that, since it's bluetooth, it will occasionally lose connection and has to be manually reconnected in the bluetooth menu.

Razer Taipan.

It's okay, I would get something else if I felt like spending the money. The middle mouse button click is actually broken, so I use that top DPI adjuster button instead (through the Razer drivers, since I don't adjust DPI on the fly), and I find I like the placement of that much better than clicking the wheel, anyway.

I think that might be the one mine aped.

A wireless.... Whatever this is.

I don't need much to be satisfied with every day computer usage, and my gaming doesn't require the highest precision. That and we've had the thing for at least four years, so changing it seems like a foreign idea.

Yes, wireless.

I am a 'comfy couch' gamer.

Need a wireless mouse. :P

No idea what to purchase though.

A cheap $6 standard one with no side buttons or any gamer features. Still getting MVP most matches. Don't see a need to upgrade.

My G9 is still kicking after all these years, but now that I bought a nice set of headphones + modmic, I have wires everywhere. So time I retire the old girl and go wireless.

Decided on the G602. The extra buttons won me over the Sensei Wireless.

G700. Loved the dpi adjustments, the middle mouse button and shape. Don't really like the texture of it as it turns out it gathers dirt quite easily comparing to my other mice, and the horrible battery life. I turned out using it as a wired mouse after realizing I have to recharge it like every day.

I have been using this mouse for a few months, easily my favorite mouse ever. As a developer (web) I can spend hours using it and it feels great!

I've been looking at this one for a more ergonomic grip. How do you grip it? Perhaps, a slightly twisted (to the right) palm grip without the wrist touching the table?

I'm using the fingertip grip:

and not the palm grip:

So I can't stand big and heavy mice. For work the original 15$ logitech mouse feels ok to me, I even remove the weight inside them.

For gaming, I really don't care having a lot of buttons, I NEVER use them. Pushing thumb / lateral buttons on a light mice used in fingertip grip, make the mouse move / glide over the mousepad. Really unusable.

So here are my mice:

I have the Roccat Kova:

It's excellent, light, precise, but the angular scroll wheel hurts after several hours.

Recently, I bought 2 Red Steelseries Kinzu V2 Pro Edition and they really are fantastic for my taste and grip, the kevlar (-like ?) sides really help to lift the mouse with the fingertip grip, I also got them at a really low price ( 20€ each )

The only downside are the "mouse feet" that are really not great, they "scrape" on some mousepads and make a lot of noise. I'll have to change them I think !

Currently a Logitech G600, but I buy and change frequently. I have a Corsair M90, Logitech G9 and Mionix Naos that are all in great shape.

I'm interested in a few new ones. The Roccat Tyon and Sensei Rival in particular. Will probably get both. Maybe a Corsair M65 RGB as well.

No Razer. Never Razer.

G602

Got this for $40 at best buy. I love it since its really responsive and lasts forever on the batteries. Also I can pull the sensor and move it to my surface/laptop quickly instead of a wired mouse. The extra buttons help a ton when/if you need them in games or apps. Also its a bigger mouse and my hand doesn't cramp with this one.

Picked up a SteelSeries Rival the other week and have been liking it. Turned off the lights on it though since I sleep in the room with the computer a lot. Tracks really smoothly.

guys my good ol ms sidewinder died on me after 7 years. :( man that mouse was a tank and i loved it.

can anybody give me recommendations on something similar in the market, build quality is a must, i like the razer mouse but ive heard they tend to fuck up fast. how is logitech?
corsair and the other brands, mainly im looking for a couple of sidebuttons, weight adjustment(make it as heavy as possible) and that is big enough to place my whole palm on it.

I can't recommend the Logitech MX518 any higher, if you can still get them. Mine's at 9 years and going strong.

You can't, they stopped making them ages ago. You can however, get a G400 which is essentially the same mouse with a better optical sensor. Only problem is, it's not very heavy (it runs ~106gr). It wouldn't even be as heavy as his sidewinder that he's trying to replace.

I'd recommend a G502 (has a weight system), or maybe even a G700s (heavy anyway, wireless but can be used as a wired mouse).

I use a razor mamba and would not recommend it to anyone. The right click is way too sensitive, the configuration software is slow and buggy, and the packaging is better engineered than the mouse itself. The USB port on mine is misaligned, so if you unplug it, it is a huge pain to get plugged back in. My friend has one too and his has the exact same issues save for the crooked USB port.

I use a G500 both at home and at work.

I used to use an MX518 at the house but it started having issues where it would intermittently just stop responding for a split second and then snap out of it.

I also still have my MX500 that I used at my office for forever but when I could no longer find setpoint software that would work with win7 x64 that could allow me to map the 2 side buttons to minimize and maximize windows, I quit using it and got another G500.

That traditional logitech shape just fits my hand really well (claw grip). I've tried a lot of other mice and none of them feel "right".

Fantastic mouse! Doesn't look like ass, has all I need (incl. clickable DPI switching on the go).

I'm also team Ducky for keyboard :)
