I beat Life is Strange two days ago and it's all I can think about. I even got the soundtrack.

I'm just really really depressed now, lol.

To all of you
American girls, it's sad to
Imagine a world without you
American girls I'd like to
Be part of the world around you
Driving a car by the seaside
Watching the world from the bright side, yeah

To all of you, American girls in the movies
No one can tell where your heart is
American girls like dollies
With shiny smiles and plastic bodies
I wish I had an American girlfriend...

I cry sometimes walking around my own place
Wondering why she cries sometimes
Talking about her own place
Somewhere around the mountains
No one could dry her fountain
Till she got tired to complain
That's when I fly to the wildland, to your land

;_;

Didn't we have a monthly thread for this? Have not seeing them in awhile

Anyway
I have listening to kung fu aka the king aka Kendrick Lamar's DAMN

Its a very solid indie pop album. I'm glad I randomly stumbled upon this band during the Coachella live stream last week. Can't wait to check out their older stuff.

Somehow just discovered Tame Impala. Listened to all of their material over the past week.

I'm in love with their newest album, Currents.

Some of their older stuff is a bit too "rock" sounding to me (I can't think of a better way to phrase this currently). But I really love the synthpop feel of Currents.

Innerspeaker is really heavy on the fuzz, its not for everyone. Lonerism and Currents on the other hand are much friendlier to a first time listener. Both of those are amazing albums, and I agree with you on Currents. Its my favorite of Tame Impala.

These are the last 5 albums I listened to.

Phantogram - Three
Jay Som - Everybody Works
Ivy - Apartment Life
Japandroids - Near to the Wild Heart of Life
Band of Horses - Why Are You OK

For the last few weeks I've been listening to Dopamine by Børns over and over. It's so good. There's not a single track that I don't really enjoy. I just... AHHHHH, I love it so much.

Aside from that, I'm revisiting a lot of old favorites/standbys (Bowie, Currents by Tame Impala, Shadows by Shawn James).

Currents is one of my favorite albums ever. I can listen to it anytime, anywhere and love it, and I'm always finding new stuff in it.

Kendrick Lamar - Damn. Really been enjoying the album since it came out. Duckworth, DNA, Humble, Pride and Loyalty have been getting heavy play but I'm enjoying the whole album.

Childish Gambino - Awaken my love. Had it since it dropped and I still play some tracks from the album currently. Obviously Redbone, Me and Your mama, have some love, boogieman and the day me and your mama met still make their way into my rotation.

Jonwayne - Rap Album 2. This album is really good in my opinion. Right from the jump Ted is a great track to start and then from there I just enjoy the album through and through. From some of the beats to his lyrics just keep me listening on repeat. If you guys haven't heard of him definitely check him out. He's put out some really solid projects in my opinion.

Portishead - Dummy. I don't even know what to say. I heard these two guys talking about trip hop on the train and so I went to look up what it is and from there I read about Portishead and how great Dummy was. So I went and played it and boy oh boy. This album is amazing. Apparently is was a big album for them but I never heard of them! Just nodding my head on the train while listening to his album. Any other good trip hop albums? Definitely interested in hearing more.

Its 7:27am here on route to work listening to the Setlist for the upcoming Iron Maiden Tour in the UK, but the studio versions of the tracks for now.

Just discovered Beach House on a recent road trip.

What an awesome band. I'm noticing their music puts me in such a trance - it's quite mesmerizing. Going through their discography right now.

Space Song

Lots of Chris Cornell material given the recent circumstances.

Before that though I took a leap into the band Failure. Their album Fantastic Planet is stellar. It's one of those records that I wish I got to sooner because it's the type of sound I enjoyed ever since my teenage years if not even younger.

Been listening to a lot of random stuff recently, mostly Lonerism and Currents by Tame Impala, Is This It by the Strokes, and Homogenic by Bjork.

Got super drunk last night and have to drive an hour-and-a-half to clean out my grandmother's house.

So I'm cranking Iron Maiden to get the stoke up.

edit: apparently not going until tomorrow! Woooo! Time for something a bit heavier...

Until We Die - Distorting of Perception

So far today I've been relistening to

Legowelt - The Paranormal Soul
Chromatics - Kill for Love
Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto

All of which are excellent. Actually I really think MX may be the most underrated album ever.
