It's fair to feel that way, but it isn't really the case. WandaVision was a huge hit for Marvel & Disney Plus. Hardcore fans and casual viewers alike are also really appreciating the Falcon and Winter Soldier show. Many fans are falling out of their pants to see Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man No Way Home.

I can't rebuttal against your personal feelings at all, but in most ways, MCU is in anything but a lull. I also wouldn't chalk their success up to "luck". Maybe if they had a few successful movies, but not when they are the top grossing movie franchise of all time. That takes more than a little bit of luck in the casting department.
No, you're right. They're getting a good amount of interest in those products. It's just that I see those as a byproduct of having hit it out of the park with Iron man/Avengers. They had some moderate success with Captain America, Thor, and Hulk, but once the Avengers arrived all of those related products got a boost in interest. Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel also benefited from the wave of energy generated by Avengers success.

Fact is, interest in Toby Maguire's Spider-man is also a bit of an indictment against the other guys who have had the role of Spider-man. They've all been varying degrees of cringe and that's just too bad. I've especially detested the Avengers Spider-man who is basically Tony Stark's intern/lackey.

I feel like the MCU is in a huge lull. I feel like they got lucky with a couple of big hits, because I (and no one I've ever known growing up) wasn't a fan of the Avengers or the Guardians of the Galaxy. They hit home runs on both of those, seemingly, and that has propelled the MCU despite not hitting on Spider-man or any of their other major franchises. It's just good fortune that they struck gold with Robert Downy Jr. as Iron Man and the whole Guardians crew.

Frankly, I felt the lull setting in with the whole Avengers Infinity War, and now there is just a huge expanse of stuff I'm not even a little bit interested in. I'm waiting for the X-Men with super high expectations for some good casting for Wolverine, Gambit, Cyclops, etc. I want to see some excellent stories written for the big screen involving the X-crew.

They're in a lull because the entire movie industry hasn't been able to release anything for the last 13 months. No movies tend to result in a lull. Disney+ series are nice, and I especially liked WV, but it doesn't kill the lull from the lack of movies. The last MCU movie was summer of 2019, there will be a 2 year gap by the time BW is out. The only other time there was anything close to that gap was between Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 at the beginning of it all. We went from expecting a movie every several months to nothing for 2 years, and have been looking forward to the same movies for pretty much that entire time. I think the burnout of looking forward to the next movies is a reality and is happening to most MCU fans. Not Marvel's fault, just a shit scenario (and certainly not the worse thing to come of it), but a fact either way. I mean, look how long ago this thread was made (and all the banned people on it lol).

To answer the question, though Doctor Strange 2 is my vote. I loved the first movie and the idea of a horror movie in the series seems intriguing. That being said, I've watched all MCU movies (and Netflix shows, D+ shows, and catching up on the rest of the shows), and will continue that...one of the few movies I still go theaters for consistently....or did/will obviously....SM:FFH was the last movie I saw in theaters, and BW will be my next.
