some routers will connect your PS2 fine, but give you problems with having the headset work. i had to buy a new router (linksys BEFSR41) because my old linksys wouldn't allow the headset to work. i'm now using the D-link DI-514 wireless and it works great (connecting my game systems by wire though, not wireless).

just be careful about getting the cheapy routers. i got the linksys befsr41 for about $39.99 after rebate from radioshack, and that was a year and a half ago.

D link routers gave me a lot of problems getting the headset to work. You can get it, but be prepared to spend a lot of time opening up ports, and trying to get it to work. Linksys sems to work easier right out of the box. My newer linksys router works great with ps2 online and xbox live.

Try the new firmware with Dlink. I didn't have any problems after.

well had they had that firmware a year ago when I was playing Socom2, that would have been nice. :lol
