It was shown in concept form a while back but after the huge amount of backlash I'd assume they woulda tweaked the front...but NOPE

your thoughts?

Knowing absolutely nothing about cars, it doesn't really stand out as bad or anything. Image searching other BMWs has them looking pretty generic/average as well — I actually like the change.

You're the first person I've seen on the internet who likes it, fair play mate!

Reminds me of big tits, don't know why.

But yeah, surprising for a BMW.
Certainly to much, well.. tits you know.

Huh. They looked a lot better on official renders. Something feels so incredibly "off" with them. They look like they photoshopped a new front on the same old 4 series car.

Yeah I have to agree here. It doesn't look "good enough" for a BMW car

gross.

BMW grill shape is like the most iconic thing about the brand, other than the logo. who thought this was a good idea?

My friends and I have been making fun of this over the past week or so.

It's hideous and completely goes against their own heritage. It channels a Bugatti or an Alfa Romeo and not in a good way. I'm expecting a quick redesign of that front grille because the rest of the car is still quite good.

My favorite thing is when someone I knew would buy a used BMW to cosplay as a wealthy person and then find out what a mistake that was the first time they had to take it into the shop to have simple work done.

"Sorry, we have to ship these parts in straight from Germany, so it'll cost 4 times more than it would have if you owned any other car!"

I guess "completely against their heritage" was a strong turn of phrase.

Maybe they're trying to undo the "grille squish" that happened across the decades? I just can't believe they'd want it featured so prominently on the front like that though.

My hottest hot take about this is that I genuinely prefer the Lexus spindle grille to this new BMW one. And that thing is hideous.

Still ugly, but a little less ugly with the aggressive styling of the M cars.

Fake grilles need to die already. I don't understand why manufacturers think we like them.

Looks OK to me actually. I am not blown away but I do not hate it either. If I ever buy another BMW (I'm more partial to MB and Audi) this grille would not be a concern.

PS: Many years ago I heard there were screams of rage about "Bangle butt".

I honestly liked a lot of Bangle's designs, even the much maligned e60

I applaud them for having more differentiation between models...you will be able to tell it's a 4 series if it's in your rear view mirror. However the pics don't look good, will need to see in person.

They have made it so you dont want to buy one.

The grills were bad before too. God awful. At this point they deserve this.

Give me turn of the century Bond bmws.

Also, looks like this to me
