what the hell, Tekken Tag?

Tekken Tag SUCKS. Gha, why'd I trust you people? Popped into the arcade in BGSU yesterday to play a few rounds--chose Jin and King, my two best characters to play as.

1. the arcade owner must have set it to ass-easy, because I was winding down every round with near perfects due to not only the ease of difficulty but also the abusiveness of the tag system.

Gha gha gha. :p

Plus, I dunno why, but King's FrankenSteiner didn't work at all. Crazy stuff, and kind of annoying. I was expecting much more from this.

I hate TTT. both in arcades and the prettier PS2 rendition. I HATE TTT.

do yourself a favor and play Tekken3 in Arcade History on PS2 Tekken5. it rocks :) its not as pretty as TTT PS2 but it's a better game overall.

I don't know. Tekken Tag was leaps and bounds over Tekken 3, adding moves for every T3 character and a lot of additional strategies, including tag throws. Tag is by far the deepest Tekken game I've played yet (no 5 for me).

I suppose that is true for those that have putt alot of time into Tekken Tag. I have not. maybe some day I will learn to appeciate it more. the PS2 graphics are awesome compared to Tekken 3 (arcade, PS1, bleemcast, PS2 T5) or arcade Tekken Tag. I fell away from Tekken after Tekken 3. I need to get back into it. hopefully i will see that TTT is a much deeper, better game.

I don't get it. Tekken Tag is simply Tekken 3 with added characters and moves. In the home version, you can even choose to play in single player without the tag play. How does one like TK3 and hate Tag?

So based on the first post in the thread, TTT sucks because (1) the arcade was set on easy, (2) the tag system was easily abusable -- possibly related to 1, and (3) King's Frankinsteiner doesn't work (unless you are in very close range -- as it should be.)

FAKE IMPRESSIONS!

Why would anyone play single player in a fighting game unless to unlock shit or train for when playing against people?

You can play sans tag play? Hrrrm.

Still undecided.

No, but tagging adds so much to the game. Some things to consider...

Strikes vary, but you can slowly regain 1/3 of health lost to a hit when you tag your character out. An experienced player will be tagging in and out constantly to regen, and that in of itself creates a lot of strategy. A character tagging in has the option of entering by way of a slide or a jumping tackle. You can also tag juggle (a bitch to learn the timing but very satisfying), making your favorite juggles even more devastating. Learn some of this stuff and I'm sure you'll agree: Tekken Tag Tourney is the game for thee.
