But if he's as accurate as you are led to believe, that won't be a problem. I don't think accuracy has anything to do with it. Just that he's not spreading complete made up bs and his source is who he says he is.

To be honest, nothing Trev said is really groundbreaking enough for me to really care if his source is vetted or not. They're things that we've speculated on already. I guess an "official" confirmation would be something, but I wouldn't consider it big news.
Well if he gets his sources verified now it'll make things easier for everyone when he drops da bombs later on.

As someone stated, those games need to find somewhere to go once PS Vita dies. (because, I don't really believe in the idea of Sony dropping another handheld to the masses). So, NX or ultimately the mobile market would be the de facto platforms for those developments. NX will have a great amount of japanese devs on board, that's for sure.

Different. The Zelda NX 2016 rumor is reportedly from someone within Nintendo. The FF rumor is from a second-hand source who, as Malus said, has supposedly been right before.

Another thing is that at least the Zelda NX prediction is such a common sense deduction that even an official announcement by Nintendo would not verify that we have a credible insider source here. One could easily take an educated guess that Zelda NX is highly likely to happen and sell that as insider information. Correctly predicting that it will rain in Seattle once over the next weeks does not make you a prophet.
You know you don't *need* mod's approval to share information, right?
You can share whatever info you have now. In case X or Y mod thinks you're BSing us then only show them your credentials.
Just post it on your blog then. Neogafs only a forum, you're a free man on the internet.

I think Dave gave us enough to go on in order to say one way or another once Nintendo reveals. Seems like he saw a release schedule or something to that effect. If Wii U releases don't line up with what he wrote, we'll know there was creativity at work. For what it's worth, as of now, I believe him.

Not really true. I remember ShockingAlberto saying he was shocked at the Bayo 2 announcement because he heard that it was dead. Sources can just be wrong.
I don't think you request getting verified, I think mods request it from you when you claim something of a certain degree or variety first. This is probably why the current method has failed and, as noted by Nirolak earlier in the thread, nothing outlandish has really been claimed.

I think Zelda U will be a launch title for NX and Nintendo would be crazy to not port it.
Not sure if this means NX is 2016 or both Zelda U and NX are delayed till 2017.
But yeah, most of that stuff is known even the Minecraft stuff

Yep, I can see vita devs and more mobile devs moving to NX handheld.
Nintendo has pretty much said that Zelda Wii U is this year, right? If that is the case, then a nice assumption would be that the NX won't be far from that...if not at the same time.

They can, but it complicates development of the OS and software dev tools considerably. It's really not worth it unless they get some pretty huge gains from going x86 over ARM.
The Ambidextrous thing is more of a hardware thing, and has little to do with software.

I share your thoughts. He is not some random poster and this claim can be proven false any moment Nintendo decides to gives us any info about their plans for the Wii U. A normal person who wants to keep their reputation wouldn't make such a risk unless he/she really has faith in what they heard.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake and FFXV coming to NX are definitely not from my source at Nintendo. That information is a rumor and nothing I can confirm 100% like the information I shared today.

Don't worry, Trev. The fact that you are so committed to getting your info verified speaks just as loudly as a mod coming in here and saying you're legit himself/herself, at least in my mind. If you don't hear back, you and your source shouldn't worry about it. You already have the goodwill and attention of most people interested.
