Words change meaning on a regular basis. Why can't virginity or virgin change? In this day and age, it's more of a milestone for a man or woman as they surpass a certain and personal sexual threshold.

Also I agree with Nvidiot_whore: Virginity is just a label mostly for high-school kids. The whole "technicality" thing about it is just a quagmire that isn't really worth wading through.

As far as anyone else knows, yes. There was an Arab guy on either this forum or another one I go on who said they pretty much only do anal sex over there because you have to have proof of an intact hymen before getting married.

Seems to vary a lot person to person, and even with religions. Personally growing up, I thought losing your virginity was penetration vaginal or anal. I dated several school girls who had anal sex with several guys, but never vaginal penetration. They thought since they never had vaginal intercourse they were still virgins. I never understood that line of thinking, but I was 16 at the time and I definitely wasnt going to argue with them as long as I was having fun.

I think the definition has changed. I think when a couple has satisfied each other sexually, they can maturely say "I lost my virginity to her/him".
And that's not just for lesbians. I know some women who say a five minute (or less) fuck when you're 16 doesn't really count. It's when you're enjoying it, when it lasts. Friend of mine lost his virginity at age 15 to a girl down the street but it was like a 2 minutes premature situation. He prefers to say that his true virginity was lost to his girlfriend a year later who "made love" with him.
