In this context it's more the idea of an older pervert, who has let himself completely go and has no personality to make up for it, trying to casually bed young college women with the same shallow ideals held of a teenage boy with no self control and low morals and actually expecting to succeed. They are out there, men in their 40's and 50's (and later) with nothing to offer anyone because they remain so shallow and immature, and so demanding and picky with their tastes they refuse to lower themselves (in their mind) to a middle aged woman because she wouldn't be as perfect as their ideal.
