Why do you need ties made of that material?

1. Lost my old (silk) tie.
2. Starting to try to live out my ideals, meaning less animal products.
3. Dad's ties are, uh, not so hot.

I have no problem with used ties though. If I can't find anything at Goodwill, it's going to be dad's old ties.

so u want buy ties that use huge amounts of resources to produce.

Cotton = Water and fucking lots of it.

Polyester = hydrocarbons and lotsa pollution.

U R stuck between a rock and a hard place aren't u.

argh yes. And if polyester gets on fire, it will melt and stick on skin. However, water generally isn't that scarce yet (AFAIK!). So, life>water, uh yeah.

Found some hemp ties, but they don't look too snazzy either. Hopefully the interviewers won't mind a slightly grungy or retro look on the tie. Recently dyed red-streaked hair back to its natural color just so I can look more conservative. :lol
