i think GTA as a series should always be set in the USA i don't think it can work otherwise. Personally i would like them to Revist Vice city

I think certain parts of America have large chips on their shoulders at the moment. There's a lack of being able to laugh at the absurdity of your own society at the moment.

I would imagine places like Australia would be good. You've got the bush, the reefs and ocean, diverse landscapes, recognisable landmarks and cities, it's a self contained continent so no gating with bridges/artifical boundaries. They can laugh at themselves etc.

They could really let their hair down for a big part of the game, then take it over to America.

Yeah I'm all #Team Moscow. You've got a former communist country fall down a deep well of capitalism and corruption without any real checks and balances in place, and plenty of division between various groups within it and at the end of the day...something actually completely different versus simply rehashing San Andreas or Liberty City or Vice City again.

I say Japan because Japan itself has its own quirks that most of the planet doesnt...maid cafes, vending machines with womens underwear, robot cafe, obsession with tentacle sex, hentai porn, Idols stalkers, hakiri or whatever those guys that dont leave the house for years...the possibilities of satire on that world is endless. I’d say Vice City unless they release a new location. GTA4 was Liberty City, GTAV was San Andreas, so it’s only natural that the next would be in Vice City in the current GTA universe.

I care less about the where than the when. Vice City is still my favorite GTA just because of the combination of being in the 80s and having the best soundtrack. I'd love to see another 80s game, or go even a little bit further back to the drug fueled disco era. On the other hand I'd also be cool with letting them go batshit crazy on a Back to the Future 2-esque future GTA. The location is less important than the timeline for me.
