Where Ya Curly Mustaches At?! Marvel vs Capcom 3 Hype Thread of Scoops!

Threi just post videos of your Karas/Roll combo eating me alive so we can get back to roster wish lists and speculation please.

Hopefully they do take one note from MvC2 and allow you to pick from three different types of assists for each character.

not like we can't get back on topic regardless :p I agree to disagree with Threi, and I really don't care about either of those games anymore.

as for roster wishlist - I'd actually be in favor of ditching the shotos as well as magneto, storm, sentinel, etc...

there are so many characters who have remained untouched.. and Strider is plenty iconic for me in a Capcom game :D I'd like to see Dante and Deadpool.. not sure of who else, though. Perhaps Capcom will tell us a few characters planned next month (doubtful)

Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but didn't EA have the license to make Marvel fighting games at one point (Rise of the Imperfects?) Did that lapse or what?

And how did MK v. DC do sales-wise?
Didnt this sell a ton?

As someone who is completely out of the loop but loves some MvC2, what's the significance behind Honolulu?
Capcoms private event (where they usually announce some of their games) is tomorrow in Honolulu.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa

surely wouldnt make much sense for them to announce it right before they launch super street fighter IV though? seems a bit weird

I want this on my HD consoles badly, but I'm secretly hoping for a Wii-exclusive reveal just to see the Neogaf meltdown. :D

Either way I get to play it so I'm happy.

FUCK YEEEEEEES

MARVEL BAAAAABY

I said it before forget the balance. Leave that to SF just go balls crazy on this own. I want combos and hyper combos that fill up the screen until your eyes bleed :D

Balance talk in a MvC thread? Thats like talking about Sonic color eyes!! :lol

MvC2 was a failure on the competitive scene due to his poor balance amirite?
SF III: 3rd Strike was a failure on the competitive scene due to his poor balance amirite?

Balance is overrated bitches!

Balance is the second most important thing for a competitive fighting game.

If Capcom can't make it 30 years using the same sprite they've failed.

Oh, but they`re so close with Megaman!

Throwing in my vote for a Shuma Gorath level of "WTF seriously?!" character from the Marvel catalogue.

God I hope it has jazz.

Same here. I see the same people that diss this game's soundtrack listen to shit like Breaking the Habit and Let the Bodies Hit the Floor.

The jazzy soundtrack gave MvC2 a lot of it's charisma. While I don't think they should make the ENTIRE soundtrack jazzy, I'd love to see more of that type of music. I feel it was perfect for a fighting game.

Some of the tracks were just a little too corny though, but the Clock Tower and River themes were my two most memorable fighting game tracks that gen.

I remember Screw Attack had one of their tomfuckery top 10 deals and bitched about MvCs soundtrack in one of them, putting the soft credits song over a fight to slant the idea in their favor. Made me want to punch them.

Yeah I don't think the OST is that bad once you get past the whole Take you for a ride bit. I think TvC's soundtrack is far superior though.

Still I'm just hoping this really is more like TvC and the original VS games as far as overall presentation goes.

Damn, it's going to be a tough wait. I'm going to hate it even more if this was just some strange coincidence and ends up not happening :(

anyone afraid of the backlash if this is exclusive to a platform if it comes out like Tats v Cap? or even a portable (yeah right)?
It will be Epic Mickey all over again.

No. Because I will buy whatever console it comes out on.

Yep :D

Though I'm hoping they work something out to bring it out on all consoles so that the PS3+360 owners can have the solid online play, but the Wii-only owners who played TvC (and never got MvC2) can at least lay the game.

It's kind of crazy to think of how much weight some of these Marvel characters hold now, during the Superhero movie craze in comparison to when MvC2 was released over 10 years ago.

I mean this is going to be fucking huge.
if it happens at all. I'm still skeptical
