Unfortunately the PSP won't get real sports games until the next years seasons start.

dang. was hoping for good, portable Baseball at the office :(

I'll make do with the other stuff.

Ridge Racers
Metal Gear Ac!d
Lumines
Mercury
Acid
Ys VI (already finished it, but I'm excited about the PSP version)
Popolocrois
Devil Dice (is this really coming? That would rule!)
Wipeout

ridge racers
minna no golf
lumines
sengoku cannon
makai wars
wipeout pure
ys vi

and i'll keep a skeptical eye on mg acid.

I have been the same way with Acid, but the more I read about it, and the more I see of it, the more it grows on me. Sure there is this horrible connotation regarding turn-based card game, but if they can include a gripping story, and tie it into the MG universe, I think they will be just fine. As long as the gameplay isn't absolutely horrendous.

A few, but it mostly keeps coming back to Lumines. I'll be more excited when I touch the PSP for the first time and see how the games feel.

Right now, I'm really only genuinely excited about Ridge Racers, although Lumines and Talkman seem very interesting. What excites me more than the games (since there aren't many PSP launch games that pique my interest at the moment) is the potential of the system. While I don't buy that it's "nearly as powerful as the PS2", even if it's just south of PS2 power, that's still amazing for a portable. I can only imagine playing a nice GTA port, of better yet, a whole new GTA PSP all together. The PSP rocks.

I will cry with joy when they make a (near) perfect transition of the Winning Eleven/Pro Evo series.
The last portable football game i enjoyed was this game:
screens-gb-nintendoworldcupsoccer02.gif
(not that it had much to do with football)

and i can't think of any better way to kill the time while on the train everday, that wide screen is just perfect for a football game.

anybody know what the status is on this ? i know they said there was going to be one i just hope they will release it earlier than the next console version.

Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII
Gran Turismo 4 Mobile
MediEvil
Mercury
Metal Gear Acid
Ridge Racers
Tales of Eternia
Twisted Metal World Tour
Vampire Chronicle: The Chaos Tower
Wipeout Pure

From the games shown so far (ones I've seen videos of):
RR, Lumines, Mercury, MinaGolf, Wipeout, GT4M, Talkman.

I have big reservations towards MGS:A, and I'm as big of a MGS fan as it gets :( I'm very much wait and see on that one.

I'm just focusing on the system lanuch, and out of those games, I'm getting Vampire Chronicle and Ridge Racers for sure. Also interested in Minna No Golf, Lumines, and Shin Sangoku Musou. Passing on Metal Gear Acid unless I hear it's actually too good not to get.

Advent Shadow - Nope
Armored Core Formula Front - Nope
Bleach - Nope
Crisis Core:Final Fantasy VII - Yes
Devil May Cry (?) - Nope
Gekido: The Dark Angel - Nope
Gran Turismo 4 Mobile - Nope
Hill Project - Nope
Minna No Golf - Nope
Ridge Racers - Nope
Shin Sen Goku Musou - Nope
Spider-Man 2 - Nope
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow - Nope
Tenchi no Mon - Nope
Tokyo Xtreme Racing: Out of Control - Nope
YS VI - The Ark of Napishtim - Yes
Zero Hour (canceled?) - Nope

2 games, 2 fucking games.

I don't know if I will ever get one...But I want to see what Devil May Cry, and the FFVII spin off on PSP look like. I'd also like to give Ac!d and Lumines a try.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Ridge Racers
Tekken (hasn't been announced yet but it's pretty much inevitable)
Vampire Chronicles
YS VI - The Ark of Napishtim

Well, I've pre-ordered Ridge Racers, Minna no Golf and Lumines from yes-asia, so I guess these are the games I'm most interested in. I'll see how MGA turns out. Can't think of anything else, but then again those 3 games should have infinite replyability.

I haven't seen it listed yet so here I go: Ren-go-ku.

This game looks killer in my mind. I really want something to be as huge and oldschool as the NEC systems used to be, and this looks like its it.

Other:

Ridge Racers of course
Darkstalkers
Y's whatever version it is
most everything else! :D

Ridge Racers
Lumines
Metal Gear Acid!
Gran Turismo 4 Portable
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
Mercury
Twisted Metal: World Tour
New Level 5 RPG
Tales of Melfes

My most wanted:

Darkstalkers Chronicle
Gran Turismo 4 Mobile
Lumines
Mercury

Other games I'm interested in:

Advent Shadow
Burnout
Ridge Racers
Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Twisted Metal: World Tour
Wipeout Pure

Tales of Melphis, Lumines, Ys VI (well, I'm much more looking forward to the home version), Gargarev Trilogy, Wipeout

I just realised that buying games for psp will be a much easier decision than buying gba etc games now that they are so much on par with their console counterparts no longer will I have to stay clear from games sold only by their titles when in fact the game itself is a POS 2-d third party port or really bad atttemp at 3-d using 16bit generation mode 7 / GFX chip graphics.

I want them all including all those mahjongosdnf game even though I have no clue how to play that but i hear they stick noodie pics in those games.

I'm looking forward to Infected, Planet Moon's first game since they decided to go PSP only for the forseeable future. Nothing but a name at the moment, but I hope it has the same kind of appeal as Giants did.

Plus - Mercury, Armored Core:FF, Rengoku, RR

And, yeah, it'd be damn nice to start seeing some new games getting announced with a decent amount of detail behind them.

Wipeout Pure
Ridge Racers
Gran Turismo 4
Devil May Cry
Lumines
Any high quality horizontal shooters

Hopefully I'll enjoy GT4. I don't like sims but I'll give this one a shot.

I'm not really excited about any of the announced psp games, but to be fair I will still buy the psp at launch.

I am in the same position except I won't be getting it. I mean if there are no gaes interesting you then why buy it? It makes no sense.

Is it okay to say that not one game on it interests me yet ? Becuase that is my opinion so far, neither of the handhelds really have a whole lot coming out that I'd actually play... other then wario ware touched.... maybe advance wars.

Everything on PSP that does look good is something I've allready played it seems or something that I can play on a home console atleast.

I'll just be getting one because they're cheap and the screen is nice, and the thought of Sony losing $300 on my purchase gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Out of stuff we've actually seen...

-Ridge Racers (Namco)
-Lumines (Bandai/Q Entertainment)
-DarkStalkers: The Choas Tower (Capcom)
-Hot Shots Golf Portable (SCEI/Clap Hanz)
-Ys: The Ark of Napishtam (Konami/KDE)
-Ape Escape Pocket (SCEI)
-Project Melfes (Namco/Tales Studio)

~edit~

For some reason I totally blanked on western stuff...

-Mercury (Ignition/Awesome Studios)
-Death Jr (SCEA/Backbone Entertianment)
-WipEout PURE (SCEE)
