Idris, Henry, or Fassbender would all be great.

Henry would be the standout for me simply because Idris is a little too old. Could be cool if they did a new bond every two or three films, but they would never... unless it's Spiderman or Batman.

Henry Cavill is 007

This is what i imagine or the author himself ( Ian Fleming ) descriptions look like based on his book

The other candidate dont even come close

Fight me
Henry could do anything to me and I would allow it!!!

Anyway now seriously
yeah he would be but he looks like a rich pretty boy compared to Daniel Graig. That changes the idea of bond being seductive only by his his charm and witty remarks etc

modern times need adaptation so that things seem fresh.

I'm not racist but please not a black actor. Don't get me wrong, I also don't agree if the role goes to Asian, Indian or Latino actor. Diversity is good but not everything needs to be forced. Just stick to the Flemming's roots.

I think Tom Hardy would rule. He's got great acting range, and certainly has the looks.
Hardy is a great actor and undeniably attractive, but far too rough around the edges for Bond. Bond should be rugged, but in a very classically handsome, haughty way: he should look cruel and sharp, not like a brawler. Better a Hardy/Craig-type than a male model (he needs to look like he's taken some punches, not like he's just left a Vogue photoshoot), but neither look captures the Bondian essence which Connery and Dalton - even Lazenby, to a lesser extent - encapsulated so perfectly.

How the hell did they find Daniel Craig.

But anyways the stakes have gotten so high now that the decision making can only go to the safe choice. Especially now where everything seems so precarious.

Peter Dinklage.

The real choice. Charismatic, right looks, and ticks the diversity and inclusion boxes.
It would be even better if they NEVER acknowledge his height. There are boxes and ramps for him to conveniently use but no one EVER even hints that there is an obvious difference between him and everyone else. Disguises work, Bondlage can walk in as a construction worker with a bushy mustache, talk to a guy, and then come back as a suave potential investor and the same guy won't bat an eye. He can toss stuntmen with ease, the ladies still swoon, and the cars all have platform pedals for no reason.

He has done this in a couple of films already (to a lesser degree of course). Anyone see that Cyrano film where he is swordfighting?

This reminds of the crazy stuff I have read about how they film Tom Cruise since he is relatively short.
Now, when I watch a Tom Cruise movie, I look for tricks on how they make him appear as tall - or taller - than his co-stars since he has shit like that written in his contract.

Hardy could break the Bond formula yet again after Craig doing it last time

Cavill would look good doing it, but it would be boring, same old Bond

Idris could alsogive the character his own new take

And lol at the Euphoria guy (they are going to choose him, right? fuck)

Yeah they will, guy is so young so they can make sequel after sequel also he is cheaper to hire compared to the other actors!

Tom Hardy is an odd guy. In a good way but I don't see him getting it.
He would just go “hmm” or “hrrr” all the time. He is a great actor but Idris or Henry have the smooth natural energy. Craig didn’t have it. He was a great bond but a rougher bond.

remember when Christian Bale or Clive Owen were talked about as the top choices ? I think Bale would make a great bond albeit a nutter style maybe a psycho ? Lol

My worry with a non-white Bond is that the story will, once again, become entirely too personal to Bond. The temptation to have yet another "enemy from his past" would be irresistible if it can be tied to Hong Kong, India, the Caribbean, or whatever ethnic origin the Bond actor has. Given how China would react to any negative connotation of their HK takeover, feel that would prevent a chinese ethnic Bond. I think an Indian/Pakistani descended Bond could work quite well though in the traditional Bond environments I'm not sure that specific ethnicity would be particularly covert (like the Trevor Noah skit). A Black British actor I feel would fall victim to far too many identity and class struggles that don't fit the character and the story would get bogged down in colonialism.

If Bond is anything, he is a posh, well cultured, solidly upper class (aspiring at least) gentleman with a POWERFUL love of country and I don't think current writers would depict a black man in such a way. If that is their intent, to portray a lower class agent who fights against/mocks, or otherwise disparages fine living, crown, queen, and country, while doing the job, then it should be another 00 agent, not Bond and not 007.

If they cast Elba then he is 100% gonna perform a Sean Bean style heel turn and end up being the bad guy. Now if they do this but can keep it a secret that the "real" James Bond gets introduced at the end to now hunt down Elba, THAT would be fucking amazing. But they would really need to crank out 007 films every 2-3 years to make this kind of filmmaking pay off. If I only get 1-2 Bonds a decade, then I want them to be more traditional Bonds. But if they come out every other year then I'll allow more experimentation with the formula.

Jup its the euphoria guy as the other ones are to old most likely, they just drop it in for the luls. Maybe hardy could still do it.
