Believe me, I wanted to be blown away by the Xbox 360 but
right now they seem to be focused on

1) being first to the market
2) cutting losses on Xbox 1
3) pushing microtransactions

I guess they think people will blindly jump on the new console bandwagon and not notice that the graphics still look like Xbox games.

Don't know about him, but I'm willing to break NDA to speak about this shitty game I played! It was really linear, basically the big twist is that you don't play as Joanna Dark (like in MGS2) but instead as her nemesis code named "Wall Guy". Basically the game involves you going from mission to mission hunting down Joanna Dark until you realize that R.A.R.E. (Robotic Academy of Russia-Europe) has been controlling you all along and "Wall Guy" is not only a robot but based on a "Chief" model by a rival firm. You then work with Joanna Dark in the final two missions but just as you're about to uncover the grand conspiricy and save the world, Joanna Dark goes "I'm going to end this fight!" and the credits roll. I give this game a C-.

Well compared to what Sony has been showing it makes games like PD0 and DOA4 look like they're from this gen.

I liked it better when Xbox was the most powerful system because it least that way I could justify it's existence. Now its looking like mostly PC ports, a few token exclusives and Xbox Live are the main selling points.
If you dont care about Halo, What else is there?

I'm new to these boards but it seems that there is a lot of hating for MS/360 on here.

Any news that comes out for 360 gets instantly slagged and PS3 can do no wrong.

I'm just trying to gauge the feeling here. Are the majority of you die hard Sony fanboys (which is okay if you are - I know gaming is pationate and brings out strong consumer loyalty) or is there another reason.

It seems the split is somewhere around 80/20 in favour of Sony.

And has it always been this way at GAF.

BTW. I'm not trolling. I'm just trying to gauge feeling here.

Let me explain for you. I don't care about multiplayer or online play. When I play games I care most about the single player experience. It seems that Rare is so focused on multiplayer, but I only play online once in a while. PD0, like Half Life, has the opportunty to be a good single player FPS, which is rare these days. Add the craptastic graphics shown so far, and I've gone from must purchase on this game, to wait for the reviews.

I guess we'll see though...

I will admit that people here are a lot more ctirical of MS and more forgiving of Sony. Whatever, get used to it...who gives a shit in the end anyways.

I try to stay level headed most of the time and try to be objective as much as I can, even with my Sony bias. I see quite a few Sony/MS fans that are like that too...so it's not all bad.
