Why Xbox Live is so great...

To the older generation of GAFers: were kids like this two decades ago? I'm really starting to see how videogames is a bad influence....

It's not the videogames but the fucking system dude. Parents don't have time and money to be parents anymore. It ends up in half baked kids.

There's definitely gotta be an age requirement for Xbox Live implemented at some point. I wish that Xbox Live required your driver's license ID to sign up. The credit card thing isn't working because there are way too many parents willing to turn over their card number to their kids. There are way too many little kids on Xbox Live who sit on these games 24/7 cursing like mad squealing into their microphones ruining the online gaming experience. Their voices are so high pitched it makes your ears bleed and they chatter nonstop because they are not the least bit self conscious. These kids are probably also picking up a lot of bad habits by using Xbox Live so much and talking to older strangers all the time. There's gotta be something like a kiddy pool (or family safe areas) setup for Xbox Live. As it is anytime you run a quickmatch or optimatch on Live it's a complete crapshoot. Most of the time I play though I usually get silence where everyone is either focusing on the game or too embarassed to talk. Notice in this video that the only one talking is the little kid.

A really great idea would be a voice pitch silencer. If Xbox Live detects that the pitch of your voice exceeds a certain level for too long it automatically silences your microphone for 30 minutes or something. Some of the ideas for Xbox 360 sound like they could alleviate the problem a little bit. I hope so.

One thing is for sure, the driver's liscence wouldn't change shit to the picture.

That would be cool, also something to get rid off the sound of people breathing and air being blown by fans. In my limited experience on Live it seems that annoying kids get kicked out of the lobby so they are only a problem for a single race.

Yeah, with games I play a lot like PGR2, Forza, or GR2 I try very hard to stick to my friend's list. I optimatched one room in Forza a while back; and the first thing some little squeeky-voiced knot-head asked me in the lobby is whether I'm a hillbilly or not.

I hadn't said a word.

He then asked me if I was gay, because of my GA-S club membership (hehe, Modus you were right). Anyway, it wasn't a big deal. I just ducked out and chalked it up as another kid who needs his ass beat for lack of manners.

EDIT: to change games I play a lot to GR2. Yeah, I wish I were playing GR3. :)

i think this is fake.

but if its real i guess i shouldnt be suprised. a lot of parents are either a) shitty parents, or b) too busy to be a parent because they're both working full-time jobs.

plus kids on limit-free internet, watching cable tv, watching r-rated movies, listening to parental advisory music and playing M-rated games doesnt help.
