Wii Screen Shot Thread (56k no)

Whatever happened to the really sexy monthly Wii threads with all the banners and screen shots?

This thread is over-bloated and old. Somebody please bring back the hawt.

Wow. Wii version of Sonic looks really good. At first, everyone thought it was going to be a shoddy port not worth a second glance, but it actually holds its ground when compared to the PS360 versions.

I think this along with Cod5Wii are really good multiplatform efforts, and not just crappy ports (in the visual departments). Hopefully they both turn out to be quality titles.
 
Who the fuck is Trevor? (My Castlevania lore is lacking.)

I'm actually rather liking Sonic Unleashed. I think I'll buy it. Hopefully it and Dawn of the World will be enough for me this holiday season.

Trevor Belmont was one of the protags in Castlevania III.
He also appears in Curse of Darkness.
Additionally, IIRC
his possessed, zombified corpse is a boss in Symphony of the Night.

Ya know what. I didn't know what to think at first. Everyone was trashing it because it wasn't true to CV. I was sitting there back then and "thinking it could be alright". I'm even more interested because since then I've bought a DS with Dos and OoE as my first Metroidvanias. I really think it will along very well with my copy of TakVSCap.
 
Conduit looks SOOOOO awesome now. SEGA did some small tweaks in graphics!

Also, Castlevania looks AWESOME too. If it had a hint of HDR in it I would mistake it for a 360 game.

That Conduit picture is sick, plus the idea of invisible enemies are really cool. Those fuckers scare the shit out of me in (every) game. Nice transparency effects. I agree with the generalization that the games on Wii are finally starting to look like what they should have day 1.

If those Castlevania Judgement shots are in-game, that could be the best looking game I've seen on Wii, maybe even moreso than Galaxy.

I... I must not be seeing right... someone slap me (in the face)!

Secret Rings, sans Twilight Princess, was the best looking Wii game at time of release. Since they're using that engine, but with more than a year's worth of enhancements to it (two upon release), I have no reason to doubt they are fake.

Just wish they weren't compesses as they are, but eh.

Castlevania is in a resolution lower that seems to be less than 480 and has horrible aliasing.

and those are 360/ps3 screens.

Yeah Castlevania does not look that nice, though when you turn on deflicker it does help some of the aliasing problems (though it makes everything blurrier)

And I think people are wowing at the Sonic and the Black Night which is 100% for Wii only. I am scaling back enthusiasm because Sega is masters of the enhanced screen shots (just look at Nights 2 for proof of that)

Marbles! Balance Challenge looks interesting.

I heard on another site that its releasedate is in april. Not sure if thats europe or the states though.

Unfortunately, much as Nights 2, they are bullshots. Take away the AA+AF and you have what the Wii game will look like on your TV. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to simulate that in photoshop. lol

Those aren't Wii screens. Common. This trounces any Xbox and PS2 game. There's no way. Simply no way.


What's that Marbles game up there? Kororinpa 2 or a clone? (if it's a clone I might be happy to buy it on top of Kororinpa 2 that is coming)
