thanks!
I've added the two missing games from Neko Entertainment, I've added the Wii U Exclusive info waiting for Zajora graphics, I've updated info until letter B
Later I'll start adding the OFFTV info

I actually used 16:9 originally:

but I think it looks better with the perfect square instead. (Wide version makes it looks too lopsided)

16:9 is much better. Square gives me goosebumps. xD

quick question guys.

Does mutant mudds is the same as the 3ds version?. I'm tempted to play some Mutant Mudds on the TV, but if it's the same content it's kind of a bummer.

edit: nevermind, I missed page 2 of the thread for some reason.

so, 20 new levels. Does it look pretty in HD?

I'll start making more images once I get the Off TV play info, that way I won't have to remake them all. :P

It's pretty funny because I don't actually own a Wii U right now, but this is definitely making me want one.

eShop games that I know feature Off TV play:

Bit.Trip presents: Runner 2
Chasing Aurora (no music, just sound from the gamepad speakers)
Little Inferno
Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition
Nano Assault Neo
Toki Tori 2
Trine 2

Bit.Trip presents: Runner 2
Chasing Aurora (no music, just sound from the gamepad speakers) <--- use headphones!
Little Inferno
Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition
Nano Assault Neo
Toki Tori 2
Trine 2

+Mutant Mudds Deluxe
+Kung Fu Rabbit

Zen Pinball 2 also features Off-TV Play.

I think Tank! Tank! Tank! has Off-TV Play but not on every mode. Could be wrong though.

Downloaded Little Inferno and I am really enjoying it. It definitely seems like a short game but the atmosphere is great. One more brochure to unlock.

Will be getting my Wii U in the mail in the next few days, and aside from Mega Man X I was wanting to pick up 1 downloadable game.

Aside from Trine 2 (already have it on Steam), what is probably the number 1 game on Wii U Eshop right now?

Super Metroid, No questions asked.

Runner 2, unless you have it on another system already. Little Inferno is on sale for $5 this week, and I'd easily recommend it at that price to anyone.

I was talking newer games. Plus I'm a god forsaken heathen who thinks that Metroid Fusion is a better game then Super.

You like Metroid-ish backtracking and puzzles and a game that is both full of detail and doesn't force useless hand holding and tutorials on you? Buy Toki Tori 2. Seriously.

Something weird is going on with the new skin. It seems to be adding space between images for some reason..

Unless I'm missing something obvious, there's no reason for that pixel-wide gap between the bottom border and the animation. :<

Also, is there any information we could include in the bottom to replace the "Wii U Exclusive: Yes"? I needed to make an even number of tabs..

Edit: Changed too D-e-f-'s suggestion

Good idea!

great work!
updated the OP with OFFTV info on the game we knwo about, and with the new updated Chasing Aurora graphic!
Really great, I think that this really is the definitive structure!
let me know if you need additional info.
I'll go ahead in completing the list meanwhile

You could have "on sale" section under new releases.

that would be great, but also problematic. I should move the "on sale" games under that section each time they get a discount on the eshop, and would be honestly too much, considering how a single game is a group of images and so on (so in the editing I cannot even see which game I'm moving LOL)

Btw, editing letter "C", looking for Zajora images :)

I was surprised when I checked the "If you liked this, check out..." pamphlet in Game & Wario and one of the suggestions was eShop indie games. Unusual for Nintendo.

Hey, didn't know that! Thanks for the advice! :)
I have to say taht in the first page of the online eshop there's always been an Indie game on the first part (the "hot one") and an Indie game lable to guide you to the dedicated section

This is an awesome thread. A lot of these games look fantastic!

Out of curiosity, does anyone in this thread have a Japanese Wii U? I'm having trouble finding info on upcomming eShop games for the J eShop.

Why not just make a list with plain text? No need for fancy graphics in that section as it changes constantly.

You mean a physical pamphlet that came with the box?

Nintendo pushing indie stuff is hardly unusual anymore. Been like that for quite some time now.

If it indeed was a physical pamphlet then I think it's (one of the?) first of its kind. Very cool either way.

Neither Chasing Aurora and especially not Little Inferno are action adventures.

edit: actually most of the genre descriptions are kind of a big ol' pile of nonsense :D

I'd just take them out maybe or keep them ultra simple.

Chasing Aurora is basically a Racing Game
Little Inferno is a Puzzle Game
Mighty Switch Force is a Puzzle Platformer
Nano Assault Neo is a Shoot 'em Up
Runner2 is a Rhythm Platformer
Mutant Mudds Deluxe is pretty much just a Platformer
Toki Tori 2 would be a Puzzle Adventure

Yeah, I was going by Nintendo's official site, but basically all of them had lots of different genre tags that didn't seem to fit with the game. :\

Edit: Updated images to your suggestions

Just wanted to pop in and recommend Toki Tori 2. Game is definitely one of those easy to learn, difficult to master types. I'm still working on collecting everything, and these puzzles are really really good.

The game is so incredibly smartly designed. And it fits sooo well with Wii U as a platform.

I like this lay-out (i'd go for a different, more neutral font, though) but it'd be awesome if the image here could be animated (like a gif with actual footage, not just a slideshow). A second banner with the additional info would suffice.

The problem with having that large of a gif is that just visiting the first page of this thread would probably exceed the bandwidth caps of some people, not to mention crash their browser. :p

(That's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point)

The way it is now, however, means the slideshow animation could easily be switched with a different 250x250 animation of gameplay without redoing all the images. I had planned to do the gameplay animation originally (as you can see on the earlier pages of the thread) but they were quite a chore to obtain.

If you want to supply video footage I could make them into short gifs that are compressed enough to get to a reasonable filesize.

Edit: This is what I originally had for the Chasing Aurora part:

ibljRDdXaFya9b.gif

This is quite a short animation, but in comparison to the slideshow version:

iba8YwAxngoyCn.gif

The gameplay animation is 5 times larger in filesize. Scale that up to all the titles of the OP, and add in all the static images, and you've got a problem. :<
