Tried the free demo for Nano-Assault today. Looks great, plays great, definitely scratched an itch. Picked it up. Having a blast.

It's on sale until January 5th, from $9.99 to $7.99. Highly recommended.

Knytt Underground is awesome so far. Really recommend it. Currently near the end of game with 12 hours played so far. It involves a great deal of fun physics based puzzles and huge overworld.

Was looking into it. The price is a bit higher than I want to go, but if it lasts around 12hrs, I may take the plunge.

Nano assault is great, purchased at launch and never regret it. on sales, it is a must by imho
about knytt, is really inteersting: it's hard because it gives you very few hints, but it's charming and it creates a very deep world around your avatar

Just realized Mighty Switch Force was on sale so I had to pick it up. How is the sequel?

Its really good so far, levels are more spaced out, your hose has different pressures to deal with fire obstacles, the par times seem harder, Some incidents have really clever use of the switches (like incident 13) Everything seems improved.

is there a point in buying both games (Mighty Switch Force) on both the 3DS AND the WiiU?

Mutant Mudds is another one... but maybe I should just play that on the Vita/PS3 instead

Sorry for the OT, but is there a 3DS eshop thread? I have searched for it with no results :(

And keep buying NES Remix to see if others like Capcom, Namco or Konami make their respectives remixes (NES Remix 2 is pretty sure happening).

No 3DS eshop topic, I think.
About NES remix, it reminds me about a proper WarioWAre game ;p

No point in buying those games on both platforms, unless you are interest in playing them both at home and on the road.
To me, Mighty Switch has a GREAT use of the 3D effect, to I'd probably buy those on 3ds

Ok, thank you. Any thread similar? (for eshop recommendations, doubts...).

I still don't have a Wii U, but when I do NES Remix will be a sure buy. Let's see if Nintendo makes a trend with the NES Remixes (although I would prefer a SNES Remix).

hmm. I bought the Hyper Drive Edition on the WiiU

hmm. I don't really like the controls on 3DS (the buttons feel awkward...)
but that 3D effect.. hmmm

Hyper Drive is good. Anyways the 3D is nice on both games but If you have issues with the controls get 2 on the wii u, but its not enhanced like Hyper Drive, its the same as the 3ds version.

how I wish the 3DS had better buttons and stuff... it would make playing all its awesome games much more enjoyable :/

I would rather play the 3DS games on the WiiU gamepad if I could (when I'm at home)

Hyper Drive is the motherfucking shit. I played like 8 hours in the last day and a half.

Playing with the WiiU Pro Controller is the way to go, I think.

Arrgh... do I need to double dip on Trine 2 just for off TV play when I haven't even cracked open the Steam version I've had since last year? Why do I do this to myself?

Pinball Arcade News:

I just played Earth Bound for the first time yesterday.

I couldn't stop, and put about 5 hours straight in.

Everything about this game is absolutely amazing... super tight design loop, fantastic art, hilarious writing, and that music.

I can't believe how well it's held up.

Any news on when Aban Hawkins & the 1,001 Spikes is releasing?

I haven't heard anything recently. Speaking of release dates, I asked Ian Flood at Yacht Club Games if there was any more news on Shovel Knight's release date and there is not, as of yet.

Enjoy Up has announced yet another eShop game. Looks like 99 Seconds HD is coming sometime this year.

They're also considering a sequel to Chronos Twin as well.

"Plus there is another WiiU game I'm currently working on. It should get revealed in the next weeks, but that's all I'm allowed to write."

Cool its about time these eshop games start rolling out, its over a year into WiiU we should be getting two a week with how many has been in development

The name sounded familiar and I remembered why: http://hullbreachonline.com/
I played this space sim/mmo on the DSi browser very briefly years ago. Cool idea, but I forgot about it since it was a browser game, on the Wii/DS at that.

Pretty cool that the guy got a dev kit to work on something new for the Wii U.

these guys are about 2 hours away from me, think they might mind if I stop by for some beta testing ;-)

I'll be able to submit my Wii U game (ZaciSa's Last Stand, Tower Defense type of game) to Nintendo by this weekend. Just got a few things to clean up/finish up, and then it's ready! :)

Finally a 3d game

And whats best: a space shooter. We dont have too many of those nowdays.

I only wish they could finish the game fast. It seems these games take forever to finally release. It seems years since i started to hear about The 90s arcade racer, Project Cars, even Shovel Knight

I know, i know, this things take time. BUt since you hear about em since the beggining, feels like they´re taking forever

Nintendo Life Knytt Underground Review:

http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/wiiu-eshop/knytt_underground

Knytt Underground is without a doubt the most unique game on the Wii U eShop. It takes relatively simple exploration platforming and wraps it in almost infinite complexity; it can be a game both without purpose and daunting in scope. As an art-game creation by Nifflas, it is intriguing, but its sheer scale and size will deter some; only those willing to invest both time and themselves will get the most out of it. It's a niche experience as a result, and will delight as many as it leaves cold.

Its fourth-wall breaking and deliberately playful approach to game conventions is to be commended, but the balance of artistic merit and fulfilling gaming experience isn't quite achieved. If you're game for the challenge in both gameplay and simply understanding what Knytt Underground is trying to achieve, then dive in.

7/10

A new trailer for Blok Drop U.

New game announced:

FLAVOURED CATS
Developer: CW-Games
DATE: September 2014
Price: TBA
Trailer: http://youtu.be/_sGQQ6DziDg

Flavoured Cats is highly inspired by Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 3D Land, with a very cute touch.
But don't drool to much over it, a game as cute as this one, hides a pure evil story!
We try to aim on both, male and female Super Mario fans, all over the world, and should deliver a similar experience too!

They're also working on this game. I've seen it before but I think it hasn't been posted in this thread:

CHIMPUZZLE PRO
Developer: CW-Games
DATE: July 2014 (Europe/Australia), TBA (Americas)
Price: TBA
Trailer: http://youtu.be/X-kVQgxg1dA

Chimpuzzle was a big success. Now it is time to get this jungle-Tetris adventure to the next level. Chimpuzzle Pro is CW-Games' premiere in the Wii U eShop, featuring 20 unique levels, while keeping the same game as is. Expect Bobo to go even more bananas soon.
