Wii U Games 2013

Deep Silver says they are supporting Wii U and expect/making games for it right now.

If they aren't making any current games, maybe Saint's Row 4, or any other unannounced game.

I'd love if Metro Last Light came on Wii U
again
, and Dead Island Reptile but since they are coming out in 1-2 months, there really is no point of a late port.

Anyway, guess we'll find out in the future what they have in stores for Wii U.

haven't we had a little hint (might have been a linkedin) ages ago that saints row 4 was coming to wii u

Link doesn't work.

This link works for me: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B59L9YG/?tag=neogaf0e-20

This is the boxart:

Thanks RobbieNick, DaBoss. I think the 3DS box art is better.

I'm not sure if I'm going to double dip (although the Amazon listing is not 69.99 like other Wii U games, if it was I'd pass) but it's a great RE game on the 3DS.

Broke down and bought Spider Man yesterday. For 30 bucks (TRU sale) it's a decent pick up. Had I spent more on it I would have been pretty angry.

It's a fun C tier Batman AC knockoff. Which means the core game is fun. Very fun, for the most part.

Technically it's garbage though. In game cutscenes are low frame rate with saw your arm off jaggies and enough screen tearing to be nauseating. Models are PS2 era for everything that's not named Spider-Man. Environments are PS2 era boxes. Camera is wonky as hell too. And for some reason, all this runs at a mid 20s, unstable frame rate for the most part.

On the upside it has a decent draw distance and some of the textures are nice and crisp.

Say what you will about achievements but they are often the extra spark that gets me to get games like this.

It has them. Just no ability to peen wave them in front of your friends without a MiiVerse post.

Not that I care. I find achievements to be really stupid, myself.

Game apparently gets better technically as it goes along too. Not sure who's bright idea it was to make that initial in game cutscene so nasty and the first level so bad but whatever.

I don't know why you wouldn't want people to know what games you are into. It would seem the added exposure of good games would help ensure there are a few good games here and there. If, like me, your achievement looks (correctly) like the 20 and under rack from GameStop. That identifies your tastes, however, if you show +50% completions or esoteric achievements in what you consider "good" games, well maybe that added exposure among your friends and the content curators serves a greater purpose than just wagging around your "e-peen".

They have a much better way of doing this called MiiVerse. It's basically a very friendly twitter for video games.

There's a whole thread arguing this very thing to death already so I'll just leave it at that.

I'm really tempted to get Lego City. I've yet to buy any of the Lego games because they all tend to feel so linear and restrictive (even the MMO did) but this looks a bit more open. I'm torn on whether to get it digital or physical though. Amazon currently says "Delivery of Lego City: Undercover pre-orders may be affected by manufacturer shipping delays."

But I'm a little worried that between this and MH my 32GB will fill up fast.

To anyone who has used a HDD with their Wii U, can save files be stored on the system memory with the game on the HDD so I'm not completely hosed if my HDD ever dies?

Race around for 10 minutes. Demo ends. Pretty simple.

I just want to see the game on eShop with full DLC available next week. Not sure why anyone would need a demo of a racing game, go watch a youtube video

demos take time if they have a demo and don't have that DLC pact for Wii U I'll be pissed

i didnt know where else to post this (new thread?): amazon italy has the wiiu premium pack for 252€, which is almost 100€ off (from the standard retail price). fantastic price for european gaffers that want a wii u.

http://www.amazon.it/dp/B009AINM4O/

its the european console, so it will work just fine in other european countries. nintendo also seems to give full warranty (at least in germany).

So...what do we know/think is coming for April?

Is it really only Injustice? What about Game & Wario? I think another Nintendo direct is in order.

Not that I'm complaining about the lack of games, because this month has sapped my wallet dry. Just curious though.

Resident Evil: Revelations (Wii U) is $39.99 on Amazon.com at the moment. Those interested in it should pre-order it now to lock in that price. Can always cancel and they don't charge until it's shipped. The Other versions are $50.

On another note I really wish Nintendo would jump up and say Pikmin 3 was coming out in April.

Hmmm nothing to much for me coming out.monster Hunter and then I guess resident evil (since I'm grabbing all 3 console versions).

Aside from that probably 101 since it is platinum and obviously wind waker HD. Hopefully some release dates are announced at e3 for X, Bayonetta 2 etc.

Yeah, Nintendo's still keeping us in the dark about Q2 software schedule.Man, it better be more than just Game & Wario and Wii Fit U. I don't think there's any other other big third party games coming out besides Injustice in April, Resident Evil Revelations HD in late May, and a year old port of Lego Batman 2 that's still TBA Spring.

Well, I remember Burnout Paradise having a demo. One without use limitations, in fact.

There's sniper elite in may as well

Well, they better announce stuff soon or nothing is coming out until at least Mid-May.

I don't know what Nintendo is doing.
