Wii U Games 2013

So what's next on the release list that we're excited about? I've played and finished everything I care to that is currently out. W101 and Pikmin seem like they should be next, but we still don't even have a release date for them. Just a broad "Q2". And lets be honest, Ninendo's track record of late when it comes to releasing games when they say they will be released hasn't exactly been stellar.

Runner 2 in Europe tomorrow. Nothing else interesting coming that has a date.

I'm getting Injustice and I'll probably pick up Deus Ex somewhere down the line but the game I'm most excited for next is Game & Wario. I loved what I played at the Wii U experience and it seems to have exploded with content since. I would love to have a date for Wonderful 101 though.

Need to pick up lego city, pikmin 3 when it releases..

Than wonderfull 101, god that game was perfect, it was at a dutch game event(gamescom but 1000 times smaller :p) and that was the first game i played on the wiiu.

Then i guess i will get rayman legends, sucks the game is delayed but tbh ubi does support the ninty consoles. And i like the rayman games :).

Then batman. If it features joker. Dunno he just adds a littly humor to the game and need to get wind waker hd.

Last watch dogs. I dont know if it is for ps4 or wiiu, graphics will be better for ps4( if it makes it) but the gamepad adds so much for me cause the tv isn"t always free

Damn, i"ll be broke..

Don't know where else to post this but...

Both Nintendo and Sony have been kind enough accept our invitations to present. They'll share with developers the steps needed to get games onto consoles and give a rundown on the great improvements they've made over the past year to streamline the process. The developer talks will range from game design to business, marketing and art rom console and PC to mobile and social.

Great news, someone should make a thread.

I hope we get more game announcements soon. I have an action-RPG/RPG desire that needs to be satisfied. Close to caving on Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen but rather give my money toward a Wii U game at some point.

Forget the year of Luigi, I declare this the year of Batman. Seriously, 2013 must be doing wonders for the Batman brand on Wii U.

Not sure if this is supposed to be a complete list, but the Amazing Spiderman really gets no love. Or Croods and Disney Planes but I'm not surprised.

its likely nintendo's release/marketting plans have been completely ripped up and started from scratch, its a fair assumption they've only just decided

Or it could be Nintendo just being Nintendo: announcing release dates of b-tier titles 1-2 months before the actual date; while their supposed AAA games are revealed 3-5 years before finally hitting the market.

That makes no sense whatsoever. W101 was announced at last years E3, almost exactly one year before it releases. Same lead time as most of their AAA games (that aren't Zelda).

The German press server was updated today to a new design. June 6, 2013 is a Thursday, Nintendo releases its games on a Friday. The site is a complete mess at the moment with design elements clashing over each other, links not working, and completely wrong information.

I guess it's just an error as the entry for the game was created on June 6, 2012. For games like Wind Waker or Yoshi Yarn it also just lists the date of entry into the database.

Edit: Wii Fit U is listed for a release on Nov 6, 2012...

In my opinion :

- Everyone is trying to pump out CoD-esque games ( not just genre but mechanics, procedural MP progression etc etc etc ) year after year.

- Only Nintendo is "pumping out" games like Mario.

Exactly it's the most shallow attempt at a nintendo bash there is in my opinion.

because of this:

and because Nintendo didn't give a sh*t about it yesterday in the Direct, when Wario and Pikmin were dated. So...

I feel that large segments of the gaming populace have really begun to fixate more on IP than anything else. It's such a superficial way to look at games, in my opinion. Nintendo puts a lot of pressure on itself to deliver consistent quality when there's a long-lived brand associated, and that's why people keep playing their games, regardless of whether the IP is new or old. It forces them to focus on the things that matter -- level design and "fun". Billing it as nostalgia-baiting is really a misnomer, because nostalgia is more like what would cause someone to hate their modern games in favour of their older ones.

Creating a new IP which follows the exact conventions of popular genres isn't bold or appealing to me. For some, it seems this is all it takes.

Hopefully the rumored May 7th date for Deus Ex turns out to be accurate. Though no official confirmation (latest trailer still says "coming soon") this close to the date is a little worrisome.

Sorry if this has been discussed many times now, but I looked at the OP and noticed Pikmin 3 has off-TV play? I thought it only uses the wiimote+ nunchuk?

:( Well that got my hopes up for nuthing....

Wonderful 101 in June would be spectacular, but apparently that was an error if I'm reading right?

Honestly, Wii Fit U should probably be pushed back to November as a holiday title. It could do better using that "New Year's Resolution" push in winter, than coming out mid summer when outdoor physical activities are plentiful.

April is already a wash with only Injustice, May doesn't look much better but at least there appears to be VC to carry some burden as long as they continually update it. Hopefully an eShop game here and there like the new Ducktales or D&D by Capcom. Late June I guess it when we can expect those launch window titles to actually start showing up.

Finally got NFS:MW. It's awesome, but framerate slows down a lot at times. It updated as soon as I put the disc in; could the slowdown be since the update or has it always been like that?

I never noticed that problem, it was always smooth for me but I played only pre-patch and mostly off-tv. Not sure if that patch may have screwed anything up. If so, that's a shame because it sure is pretty otherwise.

Fake or real? Also saw it this morning on a Chinese website...

Nintendo Of America Interna Release Schedule Document Leaked

I'm suspicious as the "Not yet announced" category isn't leaked here when it should be, being the most juicy leaks...

"nex P" supposed to be a new 3DS? that might be a smart gamble. no eShop titles or anything on here. no DLC. it's just weird. just reading this makes me feel like it is written by fanboys. it has that atmosphere. looks fake.
