Wii U Games 2013

Wonderful 101 is now under "Coming Soon" in the Nintendo eShop. :)

It was also recently added to a few retail sites for pre order IIRC.

I suspect it's coming in late May and Pikmin 3 is now slated for summer.

in all seriousness looks like I wont be buying 101 because it looks like they're opting for the forced dual screen gameplay gimmick instead of much more useful offtv play.

Maybe if you were on the fence and not really interested in the game but(and this is coming from someone that swears by Off Tv play) if the game is as good as it appears, I seriously think that's silly and you should reconsider.

So you seriously will not be buying any more games for any other consoles either?
Because only the WiiU, so far, has this option. I really don't get this attitude because you bought a game console, not a portable. And since game consoles were first sold their primary screen to play games on has always been the TV. The WiiU is no exception.

:'( knowing Nintendo it will say summer but then save it for October and say "its gonna get you ready for the big games in November"

smh Nintendo

but at least the wonderful 101 will come out sooner rather then later :D

Couldn't disagree more. Off TV play is the lazy way to go for Wii U games if the devs can't think of anything innovational. Imo if that's what you want a 3ds or Vita would be the right choicw, not a Wii U.

Only a german podcast, sorry. But it will be shown on this wednesday.
You could still post the link. Es könnte hier Leute geben die den Podcast gerne hören würden.

well I hardly buy any games for my consoles as it is. I mostly play ipad games because you don't have to be stuck in front of the TV for hours to finish them. so I got a WiiU. It's tablet gaming with proper controls and full console games. I don't really care to use the touch screen to draw shapes on it.

Dare we get slightly hyped for it?
Well, Weng wanted that I share the information ...

Personally I don’t care about DXHR, too. I played it half way through and I think it really sucks.
Or do we speak about a Wii U-Remake from the original Deus Ex? They don’t said this in the podcast.

Why would anyone be hyped for a game they could've beat 2 years ago if they had even a remote interest and can be bought for less than $20 right now?

Why is there hype for any late port at all? It blows my mind. I just don't get it.

Well I have no system other than my Wii u that can play it and have a slight interest in it but even i want to see a decent effort made before id consider buying it but I've got minimal expectations that it'll be worth it

I can get behind that, but how many people that like video games do not already own a 360, PS3, or PC? It's such a tiny niche I don't understand why companies bother with late ports to the WiiU.

Human Revolution.

If this were a complete remake of the original, I'd be really interested--I've never played that.

Well outside of places like GAF I'm of the opinion that owning multiple consoles is the tiny niche but had this discussion already

So Nintendo Directs dates are now not predictable? I can see that after the Wii U releases this week, they will have a Wii U direct the week after. Maybe early next month.

Ive already got about 5 games on my eshop wishlist and they are all ports mainly because You can play them on the gamepad.

Warriors Orocho
Ninja Gaiden 3
NBA2k 3
Sonic All Star Racing
Fist of the North Star

I think thats it. I havent played any of those games. Im probably in the minority niche group though I guess.

I thought for sure there would have been a Nintendo Direct last week or this week to both hype up Lego City and Monster Hunter as well as announce some dates for Q2.

I'm really pumped for a lot of the stuff coming to Wii U and don't regret getting it at launch at all.... but what the fuck is so hard about announcing some release dates?

They don't know when they'll be done.

Anyone expect a June release for Pikmkin 3?

And serious question: Do any of you guys think Nintendo is actively working with third parties for exclusives and is hiding some of their games at this time? Just wondering what you guys thought...

Everyone I know has at least 1 of the 7th gen consoles. I am the only person I know who owns a WiiU. I am only one out of 2 in my group of peers that even know/care what a WiiU is.

Opening a WiiU at a crowded Christmas party was an unbelievable eye opener for how far Nintendo has lost the public.

Not arguing. Just sharing my observations on the subject!

I personally don't need indie games on my Nintendo consoles. I just need solid release dates for some of their games. I can get a Wii U for cheap but I'm still hesitating seeing as the only games I want are New Super Mario Bros. U and Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate.

I at least need dates for The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3. But some of the more exciting games to me are Bayonetta 2, X, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda, the 3D action Mario game and Super Smash Bros. 4 and I imagine all of those won't launch this year. I really wonder what Nintendo will have for this fall.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, they have The Wind Waker HD - I guess I could give that one a chance as the art is wonderful but I p didn't get far in the original out of boredom, though Ocarina of Time 3D have since convinced me of giving the franchise a chance.
