They'll probably make it so there is an artificial shortage of the system similar to the Wii too. Hate this company sometimes.

I know it's impossible today thanks to the Internet, but I'd love it if the WiiU had a "Saturn-Style" launch where Reggie had a Nintendo Direct in the next few months and then at the end said that the WiiU would be available at retailers starting TOMORROW and it actually surprised us.

A marketing disaster to be sure, but a lot of fun.
 
Ok let's try and get back on track here...

I'm excited for Black Wii U at launch.

An October launch doesn't sound too far fetched because Nintendo listed so many games as "launch window" so it gives time for several of those games to release just in time for the holiday season.

He asked what people think the gap will be like. All we have to go by are the Wii U games we've been shown so far, and the games that are targeted at next gen so far.

It's obvious SW1313 and Watch Dogs will be on PS4/720, and if they don't launch with those consoles, they'll probably come out shortly after, so yes.

I still doubt PS4/720 will look that good at launch though, weren't watch_dogs and 1313 running at 1080p with AA and 60fps on a PC?
 
September/October launch probably means I wouldn't bet getting one (due to finances). Plus I want to see what this new PS3 is going to cost.

Black WiiU though?... Mmmmmm, yes please!

I really don't think they're going to launch the system quite that early, we still don't have a date or price or anything of the sort. If they do, that's some last minute shit right there.

The latter two will not be launch/launch window Xbox8/PS4 games (at least, not looking like that - I could see worse looking versions at launch).
The first two pictures are of a Wii port and a Ubisoft game.

I am serious LMAO at everyone who didn't think black would be at launch. Both white and black were at E3. Nintendo would've NEVER shown off both colors unless they were both at launch. Sure, there were the Wii and 3DS colors shown off, but those weren't five months away from release. I am just kinda shocked that everyone thought they wouldn't release both lol.

Anywayz: Cool marketing materials. Kinda weird they are here so soon when the Wii U won't launch until November 18th in NA. (We all know this is the date...surely lol.)

I am starting to get hyped for Wii U these past few days. HYPE GET!
 
Very hyped!, so getting the black Wii U, Nintendo just has to announce 2013 games, VC games, etc, release date and price and the Nintendo Direct and Fall Conference date and the hype train will start really going :D.

P.S anyone expecting Star Wars 1313 and Watch Dogs too look like that at Xbox 8 and PS4 launch will be disappointed.

Ok, so I know that in the past, Nintendo has announced price/release information about two months-ish before launch.

Anyone remember about marketing material in stores, though? I know Wii stuff showed up in stores a bit before the november launch, but I'm not sure if I remember it showing up as early as August. Anyone else got a better memory about this than me?

Yeah ok buddy. Probably won't be launch games (1313 might) but they'll release in the first year and look as good or better.

Just doesn't feel like it's a 360/PS3 game, same with 1313. When they were asked at E3 they were shaky about the answer.
