Wii U Speculation Thread 2: Can't take anymore of this!!!

Wii U seems to be the biggest and most discussed thing a GDC.

That's good sign, is it?

It sure is.

Hm yeah, i missed that french canadian article, and lucky me im french canadian!

Somewhere in that article, he mentioned Epic and its Unreal Engine 4 that will be shown in the following days and it says "designed for this newcomer".

Hopefully the guy who made that article know what he is talking about.

Wait, WHAT?! Did a French Canadian news outlet just confirm UE4 for WiiU?!

I will be honest, I would prefer a unique Retro IP. Go back to the ravenblade concept of a western, gritty RPG, maybe akin to Zelda. Would be awesome if it had strong artistic influences from different mythologies (go to the greek isles and you see a greek motif, head north and you're in the land of the norse gods etc).

All that's been done before though, Retro is better than that.

On speak of Retro...I would love to see them revive the Lylat system...

How likely do you think a new Star Fox game is for the launch window of the Wii U?

It's this article : http://technaute.cyberpresse.ca/jeu...ur-les-nintendo-wii-u-et-microsoft-xbox-3.php

It clearly says that Epic Games will make a demo of Unreal Engine 4 for Wii U. Of course, we don't know if the journalist wrote is true.

People have boners about them handling Zelda. That's been done before...again and again :/

Well, I am not one of them!!!!!

I agree that Zelda could use some changes but I don't want Retro doing the next Zelda or a Zelda at all.

But then again, I am a hypocrite, I want Donkey Kong Country Returns 2 from them.

A new IP would be much more intriguing though.

I'll be honest. I'm specifically thinking of Two Worlds II. I loved how they attempted to change scenery. Just...not in the way it turned out.

I shouldn't have even bothered. I'm actually quite happy about the things we got so far. Hopefully we'll get one big info (or leak) by the end if the week. This is enough till the AC3 article comes out.
When is Nintendo's investor meeting about the last fiscal year?

I think Metroid is more likely...

Stop it, you're killing me.

I get a suspicion the buzz around Wii U is about the user-friendliness of their app store/e-shop and overall improvement of developer relations than it is to power or features. I think most people in the industry are pretty meh about the screen...nice to have but meh.

I'm in a glass case of emotion!

I think it has more to do with NN and Nintendo's willingness to play ball.

The creative-est of them all should be huge into the screen.

But then again, not many knocked any ideas out of the park with the potential of the Remote.
