It doesn't even matter, because if you thought the Wii was rife with shovelware, just you wait for all the shitty touch games that can be ported to the Wii-U thanks to it's tablet controller.

Still. It would be nice to play Angry Bird using the controller and seeing the action on TV.

I've never really understood the draw of angry birds, but then I've been playing a ton of triple town, and I doubt everyone would understand why that game is so great... Anyways really liking the list, and john harker's comment about the Wii U improving noticeably since E3 is pretty great, maybe we will see a working Zelda title that blows away the tech demo. "Blades will bleed" (of course I'm talking about e3)

Angry Birds main appeal is that actually everybody can play it.

For the new page:

- Darksiders 2
- Assassins Creed 3
- Ghost Recon
- Aliens: Colonial Marines
- Project C.A.R.S.
- Batman: Arkham City
- Killer Freaks From Outer Space
- Scribblenauts
- Ninja Gaiden 3
- That game Arkam's company working on with 20FPS
- Dragon Quest X
- Tekken
- Metro: Last Light
- LEGO City Stories
- Raving Rabbids
- DIRT
- F1
- Sports game by Ubisoft
- 6th unknown game by Ubisoft

Scribblenauts for Wii U was mentioned a bunch of pages ago. And since 5th Cell is working on a Wii U game - this could be it.

Sun it with Pikmin 3, Wii Party U and Wario Ware and WiiU will have a good lineup to start.

I've never really understood the draw of angry birds

It was just a well known example of simple touch screen gaming.

I hope the controller is going to be tough. I can see it getting dropped a lot. One hand holding one edge whilst the other hands furiously swipes away...

ooh, you're addicted to triple town as well? i also don't understand the draw of angry birds but , as Nibel puts it, everybody can play it. My 5 year old cousin begged me to give her my phone to play angry birds and just sling those birds even though she didn't know what you were supposed to do. Anecdotal, but whatever.

For some reason my gut is telling me Bandai-Namco.

Hmm, what shovelware do they usually put out?

I guess it's a good thing Nintendo picked a resistive screen then?

Well from a pure critic's standpoint, it has great art and theme, has substance in the form of puzzles and even feeds the ADHD people who need that extra click to active abilities... I just meant that the game play is very old, slingshot/tankwars/worms it's been done hundreds of times... I played it and just thought about how I'd rather be playing something else.

I do want it on the system and I do hope Nintendo does take a more indie role with their Tablet apps. I'd love to eventually release the games I'm working on right now for Android and iOS for Wii U's tablet, but I won't have a team together until I've hit a major success on the market, and that could be a while.

frostbyte: Glad I'm not the only one lol.

Nible, first I really like your posts, but I think we should probably focus on titles that can come before the end of 2013, and I don't think Zelda will make that cut and I know smash bros won't. having said that, I think we could possibly see these all at some form at E3.

Also I think we will see Wii Sports HD. Simply because of the initial video demonstrating all the ideas, quick easy sale for the device and something Wii buyers can really get their mitts around.

First of all, thanks!

Like I said, I'm just collecting confirmed and potential games right now :)
A launch line up list would look different. We can do this, too!

And you can add Wii Fit HD to the first party list, I guess.

Monolith Soft has a Wii U project in the works as well.

Nibel, yeah I forgot about Wii Fit HD, and I really hope we see this one at E3, Monolith could show something stunning, hopefully they focus on length and detail, the graphics only need to be at a certain level, heck if it could look like that Tri-ace demo, my mind would be blown and I'd be looking to pre order as well.

Since there are no new threads, I guess no megatons yet?

Only a leaked phone pic

Ridiculing somebody's work before anybody has as much as seen it is a bit rich even for gaf. Developers might have perfectly valid technical difficulties even when generally 'up-porting' something. What some non-technical staff might have said does not necessarily void such a scenario and make it good only for laughs. Let's stay civil, people.

You are taking that little jab waaay too seriously.

I expect no megaton at GDC unless people consider AC3 on WiiU unexpected

what would you guys consider megaton? We killed Retro Studio talk for hundreds of pages

for me only GTA V would be considered a megaton at GDC I think even that would be left for E3
I would consider real playable Wii-U game footage (as opposed to tech demos) a megaton.

blu: I think since the game is anonymous, that jabs like this are to be expected and shouldn't be taken seriously. Personally what Arkam said was littered with opinion based on second hand accounts, it wasn't just what he said though, it was how he said it.

Hopefully Arkam isn't taking it too personally though, but this place can get brutal, thanks to all the hopes and dreams in the air, if he had real hands on time with the console, or the game was closer to completion, I could understand his statements, but they just came off as a bit defensive, like there was a way to rationalize what he had said, but that he didn't really believe it.

I'll start collecting a list of users who aren't on Nibel's version of the hype train, if I have to, I'll add us all myself. It's perfect for E3 hype.

Can't we all just be on the hype train in spirit? lol. Let's just call that pic finished now shall we and let it die a peaceful death..
into the sun

The nintendo fan has really started coming out of me again of late, after pretty much abandoning my wii for the ps3 over the last few years.

I really do think Skyward Sword kicked it off and then my 3DS purchase helped.

I have high hopes for the Wii U, so i'm gonna subscribe to this thread now and join in now all the speculation
