Assassin's Creed looks like a bunch of quicktime events (and I admit I know nothing about Ass Creed besides the first game being crap).

... Not sure how you came to that conclusion... That may be one of the most ignorant statements I have ever seen on gaf. Even if you know nothing about the series, what about Assassin's Creed screams Quick time event?

Someone needs to drop hints at the launch window line-up.
Launch window?

Like, nintendo 3DS 5 Month-Launch window?

i guess pikmin, wii sports/play, download stuff (hopefully!), imagine: crapz, and the rest of the third party list posted earlier...

no, make that half of the list.

The 3DS launch-window isn't over yet, since Kid Icarus isn't coming out till the end of march.

Pfft.
No one has less of a social life than me!
NO ONE!

Also, I hope we get something tomorrow (timezone confusion read: today), even if it's just more multiplat titles.
I'm also intrigued by the lack of Wii U logos everywhere, but lots of devs saying they're giving it good support. I don't know, but for me it all points to a name change. Nintendo screw U.

Damnit, just give me a good FPS/online game at launch with Pikmin 3 or another Ninty title and I'll be done.

Yeah, it was the 3DS flagship at E3 2010

I love this kind of approach in game development even if we have to wait. And reading trough the first reviews and hand-on of Kid Icarus seems to make the wait wellllll worth it.

Release time ? "When it's done™"

A pity that some soft didn't benefited of such freedom for their agenda and were butchered under pressure to respect the publisher schedule while we could have diamonds, the list is big.

A delayed game is eventually good.
A bad game is bad forever.
And a kidnapped employee is free resource!

Yeah, totaly on your side. I love some game if they are polished and sakuraied. Cause he lloves to add stuff and add stuff and make the looks nicer and add stuff and add cheesy voiceover.

but still funny that it was claimed as launch window game.

For some games, when you have the removed/cut content available in install files/activated or completed by mods years after, and you feel these void spaces in the released experience with weird endings, illogical dialogs development, etc, you really have a bad taste of missed opportunity in your mouth.

It must be so frustrating for people in these studios, to know that what they work for daily since 2 or 3 years is released unfinished and doesn't reflect what they envisioned for their creation, but are forced to do it.

I wonder what they are buzzing about at GDC.

Time Splitters 4 running on Cry Engine 3 staring Cortez and Samus.

Words to live by. 'Cept Duke Nukem Forever took, well, forever, and that was shit.

To be fair, that game technically restarted like 6 times.
:P

I can't even imagine what it must be like to work for a large video game company that offers no creative freedom. Knowing you're making shit.

Nintendo should buy Crytec.

Hopefully the showfloor shall bring something tomorrow, at least footage of the Wii U demo kiosks.

Well, at least, you are working in your field of interest, you live from your passion. You can't say much for more than 90% of people on earth.

Let me inject some pessimism in this thread then. Besides coming in for the circus rides, I'm really not that excited about Wii U. I'd be more excited if I knew about some games. I mean, Epic Mickey, Batman, and Assassin's Creed? Two of those are mediocre games at best, and Assassin's Creed looks like a bunch of quicktime events (and I admit I know nothing about Ass Creed besides the first game being crap).
