Wii U Speculation Thread 2: Can't take anymore of this!!!

Well, we could learn interesting things about Big N approach of development in those days with the conference about 3D and the AI summit with Steve Rabin of NOA. It could be relevant to the Wii U, by some stretched thinking, and may fuel the speculation.

These last days, it seems that some of you are fed up to speculate, and just want screenshots & the revelation of the final hardware :(

And I tell you another thing. The next wanker that comes in this thread and teases about something he knows about WiiU but can't spill the beans because of a NDA is going to get a right rollicking from me.

Either spill the beans or fuck off. Stop cock teasing.

We are fed up with waiting. It's around a whole year with no concrete news. Fuck that.

Harker did more harm than good :lol

Nah...

I think we'll most likely get some information on the WiiU at Nintendo's financial year-end investor's meeting.

Will it be what GAFers want? Of course not. What it will be is something to calm nervous stockholders about the upcoming console. It probably won't be specs, but more likely a reveal of a partnership with a third party or unrevealed features of the WiiU (if there are any).

Well, technically Nintendo can announce right now that they bought Microsoft, Sony, Square-Enix and the Wii U will be released in 10 minutes worldwide; along Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Halo, Uncharted, God of War...

And some will still complain that is not enough and wanted more. :p

But is still fun. XD

Who says they are???

That's months away, they could give information any day they want to whether through Nintendo Direct or some late-minute "conference".

lolololololololol

It's all going to be at E3. And it's going to disappoint. Period.

That's what happens when you make the fanbase wait an entire year for ANY information. We get our hopes up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high. If they spread it out over TGS, GDC, E3 and a bit in between, we wouldn't have this problem.

Oh well.

“I’d like to say that within five years, certainly well north of 50 percent of our revenue will be coming from digital, and significantly higher than [50 percent] of our operating profit will [come from digital],” predicted Christian Svensson, SVP of Capcom Entertainment in an interview with Gamasutra during GDC 2012.

“And certainly sometime before five years from now, every game will be digital and retail day and date [same release],” he added. “On some platforms that’s already the case, it is on Vita. In Europe, the PlayStation 3 is already that way. I wish it were that way in the States as well. But I’d say that’s an inevitability. No one is really fighting that, but the question is when that will occur.”

So, Capcom games for Wii U available through the Nintendo Network in the early days after the launch (maybe day 1 if the service is operational) ?

Is Nintendo really good at keeping their secrets, or it's just that other companies don't care or deliberately let them away?

Honestly, I think they're paranoid about some secret feature being stolen from them. So they're good at it.

If, for example, Microsoft decides to follow Nintendo into Tablet Controllerland, Nintendo might want to hide one or two final features until it's too late for Microsoft to adapt in response..

But that doesn't make sense in this particular case. Nintendo's committed to launching the Wii U this year, while MS and Sony haven't even announced consoles yet. Nintendo could wait until the month of launch to reveal some secret feature, and there would still be room for their competition to adapt.
