He did fart in an elevator where developers have been inside and since then no one wants to work with NOA.
looooooooooool
So the Wii's final name was revealed on April 27, 2006. Maybe we'll get the bomb dropped at the investors meeting? That would be insane.
It was a very long time of seeing this before I realized that the basement-dweller did not, in fact, have a particular dislike for rape.
Huh? Enlighten me.
The only thing that sucks worse than Rare is my penmanship.![]()
What game was that on the TV btw? haha
Your post reminds me of a project website I'm considering making during the WiiU generation - www.VennDiagramVideogames.com, a websites that tracks multi-platform and exclusive games across the platforms. There's a meme around here regarding Nintendo's relationship between Nintendo and third parties.. and I take credit for being its author.
Over the years, we Nintendo fans have gotten pretty used to sights like this:
And since this pattern's origins in the GameCube days, we've heard all sorts of reasons for why third-party titles were going to every platform under the sun - and why they were deliberately avoiding the Nintendo home console. We've heard it all, and many of these excuses when held-up to scrutiny reek of utter bullshit. This prompted me to posit a theory: the developer in question at that time was in an elevator with Reggie, and Reggie farted. This was enough of an excuse for the developer to decide.. "hmm.. nah. We'll make a Nokia version instead."
I mean, "because Reggie farted that one time" makes as much sense as many of the real excuses they provide.
In fact, the developer bullshit isuse has me suggesting that we play Developer Bullshit Bingo during E3. Here's my card; it's a work in progress..
... snip pic ...
So.. ReggieFarts-level bullshit is paper-thin bullshit from developers. That's all. Hope that this helps!
You know what's good about Nintendo finally getting into the achievements/trophy game (this is still happening right?), it's that so many of their franchises lend themselves to it. I could imagine myself going for that type of stuff much more often than I do now (only 4 platinums on PS3, 2 of them were comically easy).
#randomthoughtI'veprobablyhadbefore
Pikmin, of course.
there are many hidden trophies in PS3 games, so it's nothing unheard of!I'd like to see Nintendo not mandate the achievements or mandate the advertisement of them.
For instance the said game could have 4 or 5 advertised achievements. And the rest were completely hidden and up to players and the community to figure out...if the dev wanted. Could really bring back the old school mentality of people coming together to tear apart a game, and also being a part of a newborn community of players.

ahh I'm not a fan of the too difficult ones. Nothing turns me off than realizing I'll probably never be able to get them all, that's the number 1 reason I don't go for them more often, I look through them, see 1 or 2 ridiculous ones, then just not botherOh I know, their on 360 too. But I'm just saying it would be neat to boot up the new HD Zelda, only knowing of 3 "official" achievements. And stumbling upon the other 48-98 by pure luck, skill or community effort.
I'd also like to see for at least Nintendo first party for achievements to be actual achievements. Like speedrunning NSMBMii in X or Y time, or beating 100 Man Brawl with Mario without blocking or taking 50% damage.

Promoting OCD like achievements goes against the "You've been playing for a while now, how about a break?" message they put out with the Wii. Plus, doesn't it discourage new game buying if you are rewarding people for going over the same game over and over to get every achievement?

I prefer the occasional tournament or special challenge to reward devoted users. (Collecting every bug and POE in Twilight Princess, for example, was a huge waste of time, IMO.)
Not saying it has to apply to every game. But for a guy like me who is OCD, it's nice to see it there. Mario for instance, need this, Smash needs this, Metroid needs this. Zelda, F-Zero and Kirby not so much. But there's surely a valid place for super insane hard achievements in certain Nintendo games, primarily the ones which attract those types of audiences.
Can you imagine how insane people would go with an achievement system in Animal Crossing?
Unlocked "Master Hoarder! (Collect every piece of furniture in the game)"
I think I'm done posting in this thread for a while. Gotta focus on schoolwork etc. I'll see you guys when the next big piece of news hits. As for the Nintendo Direct...don't expect too much from it. See you guys later.
Here's my card; it's a work in progress..

On that Lucasarts thing, people need to remember that LA has been disastrously mismanaged for many years now. Even had they begun developement on a lightsaber game for the wii, the likelihood of it being canned or releasing as super-shitty shovelware would've been high.
Even were they to reform Factor 5 into its glory days and give us a new Rogue Squadron, I would have zero faith in that being a good game.
You should add "The Wii U is a unique case.... if I were to make a game for the Wii U, it would have to be a unique game."
I don't have access to any Paint (on my iPad) until maybe this weekend; the computer and 85% of my belongings are still packed-up for this move, sadly. But I'll take note - I definitely like it, haha..
BTW.. do you own the stitched dolls in your avatar? I'm decorating a new townhome, and Zelda stuff everywhere is now allowable, per the other half. This was a pretty big victory for me. Posters, stained glass, collectables.. it's ON!![]()

I just want to know one thing: is EatChildren going to Reggify himself for ND and join the madness?
Here it is in better resolution....

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh
Should I not sleep tonight, like I did the many other nights before?
I found a Makar on etsy. That's all I can find on short notice.
And I still can't get over how quickly Nintendo Direct snuck-up on us. If I were a betting man and had to pick one thing that Nintendo might reveal info on, I'd speculate that we might hear some limited info on online features.
Uh...Mario Kart?
RT @NintendoEurope At 1pm CET tomorrow NOE President Satoru Shibata will host a new #NintendoDirect RT if you'll be watching! http://bit.ly/HVgTAN
I bet we get the name and final design of the WiiU.
