Like I said.
They learned nothing.
Increasing hardware and development costs drastically every 5 years is a good way to crash the industry.
Does EA and the couple other publishers out there really think they can support the entire thing by themselves?
Pretty fucking short sighted.
Ace, we are talking about of EA and Activision here... the biggest part of their business is buying sw houses and they are cheaper when they are bankrupt!![]()
Let's get some clarification here--was ShockingAlberto being serious? I took that as a joke because I can't believe anybody would say something like that.

I believe he is being serious, and I believe that to be true.
Wow.
Wow.
I will say this, though--venture into any thread on GAF about the next systems and many seem to feel the same way. I can't understand why.
It's why I eventually believe we end up with a 2-console world with companies teaming up.
My prediction:
Nintendo/Apple console.
I've been hearing that MS is trying to make a full generational leap because they're being told by EA and Activision that it will "fix" the industry.
Nah. Nintendo will always be able to stand on their own.
They have the money and the IPs to support themselves.
It's MS and Sony that will be fucked if they keep this up.
That's why I believe MS and Sony team up eventually.
Don't see that either.
A Japanese company and an American company have extremely different philosophies.
It's more like one drops out (Sony) and one turns towards an all inclusive device to compete directly with Apple (MS).

Microsoft should show this year's E3 but looking at the report again I am trying to understand why they would not show at E3 this year an ruin Nintendo's party.
+ Showing at E3 this year would tell the public to pass up the WiiU and wait on the next Xbox, this could hurt Nintendo or at least slow the core jump over to WiiU
- Showing may negatively impact 360 sales for the coming year that they wont have the 720 ready to sell yet
+ A year may not be enough for Nintendo to take over the next gen market
- A year may not be enough time for the 720 to be extremely overpowered so it might be closer to WiiU levels than MS wants
I don't really see Microsoft staying quiet for too long, if the media starts hyping up the WiiU and sales are killing the 360 I think they will launch a wave of news about the nextbox
Here's a post from blu.

Based on that I would say it's very trivial.

I know I'm late, but lol..Zeeboids. Seriously?

Fix the industry by making EA and Activision the only publishers left...
I just hope we don't see the polarization in gaming continue, where the trends are super high budget AAAA titles from EA, Activision, etc and then super low budget "indie" titles on Steam, XBLA, NiN, ipad, etc. Gimme a good B-grade game and I'll be a happy man!
I just got a chill like I took a dip in the Arctic.
are we really buying into the AAAA stuff?
how many little devs will run out of money trying to reach an AAAA goal?
Can KICKSTARTER support AAAA titles?
I think the fight will go from huge titles to small downloadables so maybe NPD will start to heavily track download sales next gen. Indie can survive on the digital realm

That was my understanding, so far as it went. They pretend to be SRAM in that they provide access to memory in arbitrary time rather than in sync with update cycles, and thus provide predictable maximums on latency, so the rest of the logic doesn't need to be altered.

i cant tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing...
Small devs will move to App stores, where they'll be relegated to mediocraty.
The big devs will begin to run their franchises into the ground rather quickly as the gaming scene dries up due to lack of creativity.
Only Nintendo is left standing.
That is the future if EA and Activision have their way.
Madden, Wii-U Dance-Off, and Temple Run 17 on iPhone
Not like this....

I finally got around to playing Kid Icarus on my 3DS after downloading it like two months ago.
I can see why they brought it back, it's addictive as all hell. This is a franchise they need to keep going on U and future consoles.
FUCKING EGGPLANT WIZARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDS
Also, is it really that hard people? I don't think so, I've died a few times due to my blubbering stupidity but never through puzzles, enemy bombardments, etc.
I LOVE Icarus, and second on my gaming wish list for this year (first is a phenomenal U launch) is that Uprising kills on the sales charts.
I'd love to see the Icarus series take its rightful place beside Mario, Zelda, and Metroid on Nintendo's top-shelf of franchises.

That's probably a bit too much to ask for. 1-2million lifetime worldwide is probably a best case scenario estimate. Nintendo really does seem to pouring on the support for it though. The game looks immense.
I wish they took some of that time and effort to properly resurrect starfox...*sigh*
I beat it as a kid, it wasnt the hardest game in my library but it had decent challenge and frustrating moments
it deserves its return as much as metroid does so I am glad to see it in good hands
now continue the card packs and add NFC figuirines for sale with the WiiU version and you have a new fad
Please NO!!! It would probably ruin me. Skylanders looks really intriguing and fun but I can see that money sink and can stay away. If any Nintendo IP starts doing this (Pokemon we all know its going to next) I'll be homeless

1-2 million is what Metroid pulls in, though.
And considering that KI is the sister franchise...
And StarTropics, because StarTropics.
This is now my de facto answer for these topics regarding old Nintendo IP resurrections. Mystery At Murasame Castle or just something involving awesome action slaher/platforming with Takamaru is runner up.
