I like Nintendo games and will probably buy the Wii U but I won't be happy until I see that 99% of multiplatform games make the jump to Wii U. I'm just not spazzing out. But when I see things like the Vigil comment, it just makes me think Nintendo didn't 'lurn'. I know that's a joke to many but I wonder what their rationale for a console of 'decreased power'.
Ultimately, I'm doubtful of all info that has been released (including ideaman's) and just want some confirmation and screens. The ultimate test will be when sony and MS releases their consoles, so we won't have that info for at least 18 months. I just hope Nintendo can release a console that is roughly equivalent to something made over the past few years, not 2006.
I think those upset and vocal about it do want Nintendo games. They may like them a certain amount and don't want to buy a console for <5 games. Or they may like Ninty games a lot and just don't want to drop a ton for another system, especially when MS and sony have dropped the ball a lot over the past few years.
