Will BlazBlue Central Fiction receive a dub, or the GGXrd treatment?

I tweeted Cristina vee and aksys a little while ago and got nothing.

I'm not optimistic after Xrd completely removing the dub, but the difference here is that every BlazBlue game prior to this has been dubbed, so removing it now would be a pretty major blow.

If it was being dubbed, why wouldn't they confirm?

Requiem Maledictus if old, make some noise towards Aksys if not.

Wouldn't bother me either way, but they should be upfront about it.

Maybe it's not set in stone yet.

That, or these games have started selling so little they can't afford to do a dub anymore, but that's not exactly something you can say to your gamer public.... or can you?

They sure didn't tell the Xrd fans until the game was out.

And I believe the game's already in testing.

If that means the game come faster the its not a great loss.

Still dropping in the final game its gonna lose some fans, for XRD Revelator that wasnt much of a problem because before there was only one dubbed game (and it was Overture, also there was other VAs) and other games were japanese dubs only but or BB it is more serious.

Yeah, I have a feeling they can't come out and say "we're trying to save our budget and balance the books by not doing a dub", there would probably be riots. But then again what I said is just a theory, I have no idea how well games like BB and GG sell to the NA and EU public anyway.

Neither do I, but the fans should sure as hell start calling Aksys out if they're trying to be sneaky again.

As someone who has stockholm syndrome with Blazblue's story mode and has grown to love the voice actors who do it, I would be *massively* disappointed if Central Fiction did not have a dub.

I won't even bother buying the US version, and I hope I'm not the only one. Don't stand for being toyed with.

It wouldn't surprise if it doesn't have a dub to save money because aksys cheaped out and got dollar store voice actors for 6 out of the 9 cast members in zero time dilemma.

Even still no dub = no sale.

Hmm the game is already coming out on October 6 in Japan I'm pretty sure previous BB games had English dub for the characters in battle even in the Japanese version so if it's not there it's probably not happening.

Whelp. Now I don't know if I'll buy the game maybe when it will drop in price...

It did. Either way, I think I'll find out pretty damn soon.

I would still buy the game if they remove the voices, but I will be extremely disappointed.

Don't fall for it. Vote with your wallet and import it.

"Hellsu Fangu"
"In-fair-no Dividah"
"Gauntletto Hah-dhes"
"Dead-do Spiku"
"Car-nai-gey Scissar"
"Blacku Onslaughto"

Engrish will always be superior to any dub they may release.

Patrick Seitz IS Ragna to me. That's saying a lot considering Sugita is one of my favorite Japanese VAs. English Ragna is just that good. It'd be pretty sad if the last part of this story quadrilogy doesn't have an English dub. I was fine with GGXrd not having an English dub since that cast was only around for one game. This, not so much if it doesn't have a dub.

It wouldn't bother me much if there wasn't one, mainly because I never really used it in favour of the Japanese voice track. That said, I was always bumping into people online using English voices and since it's several entries into the series with a dub as compared to GG, the dub would likely be missed more by people that have become accustomed to it.

On the other hand, cutting it would mean faster/cheaper localisation which means a higher chance of getting games like this in the west.

I think the bigger concern is Aksys' blatant disregard for their fans. It seems to be getting progressively worse(hi ZTD).

One day companies will learning that saying nothing and trying to hide shit is always worse than just being upfront and honest even if the news is bad. People are going to be upset if they pre-order expecting a dub and don't get one.

Maybe if a couple journalists catch wind of the story and start pressing them. (Hint hint)

I will be extremely disappointed if BB doesn't get a dub. I think the way BB presents its story requires an English dub, especially with the high-tier humor sections. BB also has fantastic English voice actors.

I think it took away from Revelator. The story had areas of poor grammatical structure; missuses of "your" and "you're", as well as Jam being semi-incoherent, and it made many of the system unlocks useless.

I'm a huge huge fan of this series, the English dub being as good as it is was an amazing feat. These are games with over 30 hours of voice acted dialog each release and the English dub crew definitely got full on in character which is really rare still to this day.

The Japanese dub is great and all but the English dub is one of the things makes this series special to me. I'm a huge supporter of it. But if this shit keeps up. I'm either gonna get the game used or imported.

I don't care if the game comes out 1 or 2 months later than the jp release. Hell with cp I double dipped. Jp version for gameplay, na version for story and dub
Pretty sure I sent him a tweet about it. No one who follows me gives a damn, heh. Someone with a voice go make some noise.
I tweated both asw and arksys back when rev came out with no response

Probably got outsourced like Chrono Phantasma's story.

Just what do Aksys staff do in-house, anyway?

This is a great way to ensure that future localizations don't happen at all.

The alternative is settling for piss poor treatment? Come on now. Aksys never gave a damn about the BB community, anyway. They go out of their way to make the release timing as horrible as possible.

I'm just sad because I legitimately enjoy the story and the dub.

I didn't say there was a good alternative, just that not buying it will lead to low sales numbers, which will lead to them no longer localizing them at all. Not a way to grow the franchise over here.

I'm just sad because I legitimately enjoy the story and the dub.

And I'm probably jaded because I don't care about the story and already have easy access to AC CF.

Yeah, then you're not really an affected party. At very least making some noise could force Aksys to come out and say it and not pull the rug out from people at the last minute... which is starting to look like their strategy. Shove their heads in the sand and hope no one presses them.

I really want english Noel tho :(

I really enjoyed the Xrd dub just in the story mode tho. Sol and Ram were spot on. Don't think there's a good enough reason to not import when Central Fiction comes out.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
What's going on with Aksys lately?

Dropping dubs left and right, the Zero Time Dilemma amazon watch fiasco, and Dizzy still not being available on the PS3 version of Revelator.

Not a good way to stay in business.

It's a damn shame, because when they're on their A Game, they have great taste in niche licenses(Tokyo Twilight) and some damn good localizations... but when they're not, you get shit like Magus and, brr, Langrisser 3DS.

I wouldn't mind if they dropped the dub to be honest.

I'm just happy they bring these games over at all. :)
I'm happy to but they have brought over said game series for just about over 7 years now with a dub. This is pretty much the big finale game, to not have the dub after 7 years of having it is jarring

I wish BlazBlue would be treated the same as Guilty Gear overall. By that I mean the pre-order demo, free DLC chars, update ASAP, etc.

Anyway, the release date got pushed up from Winter to Fall afaik, so you're probably right. I personally don't mind if it means we get the game sooner. I can see dub fans easily being pissed after CT, CS, CSE, CP, and CPE.

I tweeted Cristina vee and aksys a little while ago and got nothing. If I don't get a dub I'll be pretty damn disappointed. I'll definitely import the game as to not give aksys money

And the worst is that I've had pretty good success building up a blazblue community in my area, those efforts would fall apart without a dub as my heart wouldn't be in it

In the worse case scenario, the game can still be played and all that.

Just without Aksys being given a dime.

I don't know if this is cause for optimism or not, but apparently it's in ArcSys' court, not Aksys, since they now handle localization for BB and GG.

It could be a bad sign, but they also did CP, soo...

I'm more worried than not.

Wtf I didn't know Revelator had no dub. Now you're scaring me OP. Ragna, Rachel, Noel, Tager, Kagura, Makoto, Arakune, Azrael, everyone was so good. They can't do this in the last freaking game (story-wise).

EDIT: And I can't STAND Litchi's JP voice. Fuck.

Lack of dub in Revelator didn't even lead to a quicker release.
12 days between Japan and US for both it and SIGN.

Wait, did they remove the dub from Revelator? I know the PC version of Xrd has the dub at least .

Blazblue was the reason I started enjoying dub audio again so this would be a major downer, especially since I like Ragna and Litchi's voice.
