Have you seen the dumb shit he was posting on the first page against Aksys? I particularly enjoyed the theory that they deliberately make their release timing as horrible as possible, apparently because they hate the fan community.

"Passing the buck" is admittedly mild in comparison, but if I was the innocent, accused party I'd be insulted regardless.

Arc is making the decisions here. Any criticism should go to the decision-makers, not some other group who has no control over the situation.

If you read the first page you would have gotten to:

I don't know if this is cause for optimism or not, but apparently it's in ArcSys' court, not Aksys, since they now handle localization for BB and GG.

It could be a bad sign, but they also did CP, soo...

I'm more worried than not.

I'm just sad because I legitimately enjoy the story and the dub.

My original statements against Aksys were a little harsh, especially in light of their admission that it's the fault of ArcSys, but I still think they have the obligation to be forthcoming with their fans, since they are the publishers. You wouldn't have EA saying to ask Respawn for info about Titanfall, for instance(at least I doubt it).

I personally disagree but that's a fair enough perspective. The internet is a very rude place.

I think the situation is very different from EA and Respawn because Aksys isn't funding BlazBlue's development, they are just publishing it in certain non-Japanese markets. But I'm not convinced you wouldn't see the same thing with your comparison regardless. EA isn't necessarily going to know why Respawn makes certain design choices, for example.

Anyway, it makes no sense for Aksys to throw Arc under the bus. Aksys relies on Arc, Arc doesn't necessarily rely on Aksys. They already don't use them for the PC ports, it's not an enormous stretch to see them skip Aksys for future console ports too.

It will defo hurt them more than GG would. Any CF Extend they release may suffer and possibly the vanilla release if word gets out to the wider BB community.

I'm sure many/most people didn't even think they would have to worry since all 3 previous BB games had a dub so getting CF and seeing that it's not dubbed could cause a rather big outrage and backlash.

I think word's as out as it's going to get, some pretty big names in the BB community retweeted it, and I posted it on reddit and 4chan's BB general. If you know of any others, feel free.

That dub dlc would be great, but the majority would not be willing to pay for it, so it wouldn't happen.

While I understand why they're doing it, I still think that English cast made those characters interesting. So the fact that they're gone is not a good feeling.

That being said, as long as the general english localization is still solid, I might be alright with the change.
