Will Dragon Ball Super be re-animated?

So what's the deal with ep5? Did they literally like run out of time to make it or something? Is there a specific reason for why it's so bad looking?

Bad time management. The episode director is one of Toei's best. Toei has a union so in a way they are way ahead of other studios but it can just be chalked up to poor scheduling.

Come on man. From the pictures posted for DBZ, the worst episode seems to be episode 169. But even then it can't hold a candle to this crap.
It's a couple frames in a subpar episode
It's not the end of the world
Fuck there's probably about over a hundred One Piece episodes that have the quality of that one episode of Super yet you don't see the fans throwing a hissy fit every other day

That's a beautiful background.

yes i remember an episode on Punk Hazard. They are in a cave and Luffy is sooooooo badly drawn i couldnt believe it. His Straw Hat was HUGE and his face was so tiny. I dont know what episode it was .

i stopped the one piece anime due to the unbearable pacing and bad animation

literally unwatchable

at this point, I'm enjoying toyotaro's manga adaptation of super more than the show itself, too.

ADVANCED FIGHTING TECHNIQUES

GOKU IS A GENIUS AT COMBAT

DB fights have always been kind of poor tbh, lol

in every good animation if you stop a some random moment it looks ugly, but when animated it looks fine, but yeah this episode was particulary low standards

but it happen, later episode were better fortunately

Episode 5 looks pretty bad in motion as well, as if it's missing a bunch of frames.

Holy shit, these threads are always the same.

Agree to disagree folks, until you come up with a solid metric for the decline in quality (or consistency) since the original DBZ.

Otherwise it just seems like a bickering game between those who don't want to open their eyes and those who are wearing rose-tinted glasses.

lmao those stills slay me.

I'm glad I decided not to watch Super when it started airing. Will watch it when it gets dubbed and on bluray.

All long running Shonen shows have episodes that look like shit. That is the nature of animating billion episodes a year.

I don't remember any particular awful looking episodes of HxH. Show's pretty damn consistent.

Fuck it just give DBZ to MADHOUSE nobody seems to like Toei anyway.

There's not a single image in there that looks as bad as Dragonball Super pics that were posted. Haha

Even funnier that people are comparing Super ep 5 to DBZ ep 100+ whatever. It only took a few eps for Super to go to shit in the animation/art. Toei is just really cheap with their budgets for this past decade or so. At least in the 90's they put some budget in their popular shows, Sailor Moon remake looks like straight up trash, like an ep was made in a day or two.

Hunter x Hunter is a miracle. It's easily the best looking long running show I've ever seen. Very much the exception to the rule though.

Yu Yu Hakusho might have looked better then HxH, Togashi lucked out. Urusei Yatsura also looks pretty good but I haven't watched that

YYH does have some very good looking episodes. I don't think it's as consistent as HxH though.

Hajime no Ippo would be up there too. Another Madhouse show.

The art and animation went back to the quality of the previous episodes immediately after episode 5 and episode 10 looks great.

Lmao at people defending DB super's shitty look by saying DBZ also looked like shit.

So what? It is excused to just look like shit? Ok.

Way to miss the point.

The point is that half* of DBZ's episodes looked like shit but people seem to have forgotten. No one calls DBZ a "cheap cash in rush job", yet DBS is one apparently.

*hyperbole

From what I understand and I am not a Sailor Moon fan, Crystal wasn't even really a good show if you looked past how it looked. I wouldn't say the same for Super.

ITT: Watching anime after a long-ass time

They will improve some stuff for the BD releases as usual and take note that DB Super is a low budget project aimed to sell some toys to the west.

Occasionally you will get outstanding animation which has not happened with DBS so far.

Looking at Toei's previous track record it's never gonna happen for DB period. Unless someone wants to prove me wrong? I don't know shit about the movies so there might be something amongst them maybe.

I feel like these screenshots are just intricate trolls/jokes.

There is no way that those were seen in the show. Right?

... Right?
