If you don't see starfield as a win, you might as well just sell your xbox now and grab yourself a playstation. Something tells me you already have one though

Can't say for sure.... What we do know however is that Starfield share the top tier enemy ai programming team with Redfall

I think it will definitely get nominated, but I'd be very surprised if it won. This year has been crazy and it ain't over either.

Of course... this year isn't flabbergastingly amazing like others act. There's 3 titles really in running here and until I play starfield, I get the feeling all 3 are mostly good to great games but nothing special.

The rest of the nominations can be Interchangeable.

Tloz, starfield, BG3... then the rest can be FFXVI Jedi survivor, maybe hogwarts? Or AC6? I dunno.

Looks like Prey (2017) situation, provided it's as good.

That game is one of the best ever, but is scored at 79 metascore.

Maybe nominated for GOTY. It would be a definitive yes if you asked me before the game released. But it 100% won't win it. It will definitely won't win Best RPG as well. Baldur's Gate 3 was such an unexpected success, much like Witcher 3 was in 2015.

probably ended up one of the nominee but BG3 takes the crown.
I take BG3 is way too big to be ignored now.

Hogwarts legacy, ff16, armored core, starfield, spiderman 2 and alan wake 2 will be in the same ball park of 85-90 which is really good but not even remotely close to beat BG3.

Being nominated is easy. FFXVI will be as well. But it won't even win best RPG, that will go to Baldurs Gate 3.

Nominated Yes, winning, i don't know, I'm not seeing or getting a sense of the feeling or excitement when Skyrim was released so far with Starfield

excluding remakes the actual list based on metacritic is

10. HiFi Rush
11. Dave the Diver

And it's basically tied with Armored Core, FF16, and Pikmin 4

And the year isn't over we still have Spider-Man 2, Mario Wonder, and even Alan Wake 2... obviously, some of the A and AA games won't get the nod here, but usually one does. But the ones in bold are absolute locks. I still expect that once more review sites have taken a look at Starfield that it will have dropped to a couple more points which would likely put it out of contention.

I'd say it has an uphill battle to get nominated and it certainly can't win.

It should definitely get nominations.

The only big games that really stomp the rest so far are TOTK and BG3.

Starfield should fit in line with the AAA Tier 2 games like Diablo 4, Street Fighter 6, Hogwarts Legacy.
