Press the Windows button on the keyboard. Is there any way to open the start menu without having to hover over the lower left portion of the screen ?
I have multiple screens, which make interacting with the corners of the main screen a *real* pain.
Thanks
For some reason I had to uninstall and reinstall then set as default browser at install for metro chrome to work. Honestly didn't like it. Much prefer desktop version.
Press the Windows button on the keyboard.
To address the multiple screens, there seem to be little "catches" at the corners between screens. If you slide your cursor long the bottom or top of the screen into the corners it will not be allowed to go to the next screen.

So how'd you make the custom Metro icons for Steam, Origin etc? Can you just choose "use different icon" etc?
I'm wondering the same thing actually.

If you are signed in and have sync on they should. But you could backup manually just in case. Will my history and apps come back when I login with my google account?
I hate reinstalling browsers
What up bitches!
Finally!
SQEEEEEEE! It feels like home >_<
Windows 8 is installed, but I'm having resolution issues with my main monitor. It has black bars on all sides and the secondary monitor does not. I know this is a Windows issue and not a monitor issue because it was perfect before.....
any advice?
That's nice to know.I won't cross to the darkside... NEVER!!!
Sounds like overscan issue. Should be able to fix that in the NVidia or AMD control panel.

Download or through a flash drive. So what would be the best way to get this on a fresh ssd on a laptop without a disc drive?
a few, don't think they are any good though. Is there a IRC app?
no. Basically, what will run on 7 will run on 8.Is Office 2007 incompatible with Windows 8?
Did you get the IEEE email?

Works great for me when switching from Gmail to Hotmail. For some reason, the mail app likes to close out when I try to switch e-mail accounts. Hopefully this is fixed.
Thanks guys.9.9
edit: beaten
Look at the index page and it says 1.0 to 9.9.
Also, I basically lost all multitouch support on my computer. It used to work under Win7. This is kind of a not wonderful Acer laptop from a few years ago, but I could do a 2-finger scroll. Or, by moving my finger to the right side of the track pad, scroll with 1 finger. I lost that with Win8. What's the deal? Anyway to get that bad... or are you just screwed unless you bought a new Win8 laptop?
Guys, I have to use Zune to sync my Lumia with Windows 8?
Pardon my ignorance, but do all programs remain installed when doing the 7 to 8 upgrade?
I need help with the install.
After it finishes installing my PC restarts but once i get to the splash screen below and it just spins without ever doing anything. Is there a fix for this?
How long did you wait?I need help with the install.

I have a stupid fast system and I sat on that screen for 5 minutes. It could take a while. How long have you waited?

Is there some interest here in making Metro icons? I figure we could collaborate and get something going. Especially with how easy it is to implement with OblyTile (thanks for the link, CaLe).
I assume they will make a metro sync client, I think I saw rumors about it awhile ago.Guys, I have to use Zune to sync my Lumia with Windows 8?
