Are Spider-Man and Logan coming to Xbox?
There's your answer.
I don't want anything. Can't stop interpreting things, can you ?
I am just stating that it would most probably be beneficial to MS to make it exclusive.
What is clear actually, is your bad faith and the lengths you are ready to go to, in order to advocate for your narrative. Which implies scanning posts history, takings quotes deliberatly out of context, hoping that people will read them quickly in order to push a false argument. And overall, building hostility towards fellow gaffers in order to push your favorite narrative (MS = bad, Phil = liar, Xbox fans = paid shills).Don't worry, it's clear. What's beneficial to Microsoft takes precedence over your personal stances on exclusivity.
If only other gamimg companies were afforded such leniency.
To be fair it could well be entirely the same. Sony might pay a flat fee for Wolverine, which would be preferable in some circumstances - if the game flops marvel make less. If Sony pay a flat fee to use the license, Marvel aren't affected if the game underperforms. That's not the same. Revenue projections play a role in platform negotiations.
I expect it to be exclusive, but I don't think it Xbox wanted Spiderman exclusive at their current position it would be as likely as Sony having it. Blade is a lesser IP with lower likely projections anyway.
Market cap != cash flow. They have a 2.3 Trillion $$ Market cap, second only to Apple worldwide, Xbox and GamePass is a footnote in their budget.

You have perfectly understood what I said, and my personal stance. Yet you are playing dumb by pretending that you cannot make the difference between a personal preference and an objective statement. If this is the picture you want to draw for yourself, then please do.
I don't draw the pictures, just observe them.
You've said what you've said and your views are your views. You should try owning them instead of twisting yourself in unnecessary knots.
Don't waste any more time here, you have job to do in other topics !
Edited for you.Zero reason to want this on PS.
So …… money then? I’m assuming we are talking about the same Disney here…. So..

I think Starfield comes to PS5 in a year or twoSo you are going Moriarty's way "Starfield will be on PS5 same day as on Xbox"?
Okay
We will see when we finally get the movie. Considering the quality and state of all the recent Disney movies, I don't have high expectations. The movie is now back on track btw:
The recent hearing was a lot of about "Xbox might start selling consoles because of exclusive games coming out of Bethesda acquisition" so Microsoft won't give them additional ammo.it won't really move the court needle more than Indiana Jones already did.
There's literally no such thing as "extra ammo" until the FTC somehow manages to win its appeal. The recent hearing was a lot of about "Xbox might start selling consoles because of exclusive games coming out of Bethesda acquisition" so Microsoft won't give them additional ammo.
Everything is possible here imo, which is far likelier to be the reason no platforms were mentioned yet, not some FTC concern. They said that Bethesda games exclusivity will be decided on case by case basis so might be multi platform with obvious day1 gamepass.
Arkane is a FIRST PARTY STUDIO. Thought that much was obvious. If Marvel wanted a game to hit all platforms you dont go to a first party owned developer to do it. Not a chance this hits Playstation.Other than money?
Not even remotely the same. MLB forced Sony to make it multi or they would lose the license completely. Sony opted to make the game multiplatform.Sony San Diego says hi!!
They might be still in negotiations with Marvel/Disney re this. Game is probably 2-3 years away.Microsoft needs to stop being stupid about this and just state what platforms the game is coming to.

That's not your answer. The cold hard reality is that Sony had much greater leverage in negotiations considering that they possess considerable control over the Spiderman IP and PS has a much greater install base than Xbox. Those things do matter. However, I am shocked that they were able to pull off Wolverine as being exclusive. But that falls on Microsoft for being such a shit brand for so long. Are Spider-Man and Logan coming to Xbox?

Consider the source of the "controversy"Microsoft needs to stop being stupid about this and just state what platforms the game is coming to.

You just completely contradicted yourself. Sony had a FIRST PARTY STUDIO (putting it in bold letters like you) making the Show, that went multiplatform, which could...not saying it's gonna....happen here. So now you're saying that because Arkane is FIRST PARTY STUDIO (gonna keep the bolded letters theme going) that they can't do the same. Eventhough Xbox has a FAR FAR FAR weaker negotiating position than Sony does for exclusives. You're right, it's not the same just not in the direction that you think. Not even remotely the same. MLB forced Sony to make it multi or they would lose the license completely. Sony opted to make the game multiplatform.
No they didn't. They were going to allow 3rd party to make MLB games as well. The comparison would be if marvel licensed blade to Playstation as well if Microsoft won't make this game available to other consoles. The Show is never a good one to one comparison because Sony owns that IP and it is based on licenses from MLB and MLBPA for player likeness and team branding. MLB can license that to any developer but they can't make The Show without Sony. It would have to be called something else. That's why they tried to resurrect R. B. I. Baseball a few years back.MLB forced Sony to make it multi or they would lose the license completely.
they won’t, even if it was always going to be exclusiveMicrosoft needs to stop being stupid about this and just state what platforms the game is coming to.
Because it has people talking about it. This is Blade we're talking about. Cool character and decent movie but not exactly a household name.Kinda weird to announce a game but not what platform its going to be on. You would think that would be the bare minimum information to announce with the title of the game. Why do I as a customer have to infer whether or not I will have access to this game.
This is sloppy.
Microsoft needs to stop being stupid about this and just state what platforms the game is coming to.
Ok? So is Sony San Diego. You don't even know when this was negotiated either. I think it will be but you make it seem certain when it's anything but.Arkane is a FIRST PARTY STUDIO. Maybe a recruitment thing. Then there was no need to even announce the game at this point.
Zero reason to put this on PS.
There is if Marvel expects a certain number of sales and isn't confident in Xbox providing that.
You mean like all the hyperbole prerelease for wet farts like Starfield? Redfall?Consistently delivering games in the mid to high 80s..."Games aint shit!"
All the classic hyperbole responses we have heard for years.
Doesn't really matter who's making it when it's Marvel's IP, they have the final say over this stuff. They're probably negotiating.
You mean like all the hyperbole prerelease for wet farts like Starfield? Redfall?
The games don't have the impact the brand needs them to have.
But please, continue on with the "it's not me that's wrong.......it's literally everyone else!" schtick.
