According to the two, Mango will include two new Bing featuresBing Audio and Bing Videoas well as SMS Dictation (spoken text messages), on-device podcast support, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Great upgrade for the Bing app, but I guess it won't be available for international users. Belfiore already said that the podcast section for the marketplace is a us-only feature.PG2G said:http://windowsphonesecrets.com/2011/05/08/new-mango-features-revealed/

It would be a nice time for Microsoft to announce a non-phone device on the platform launching in the fall with Mango. A spiritual successor to the Zune HD would be awesome.
Please let it happen. I think I'd rather get one of those and an E52 (or updated version) that I can tether to when needed.

My Focus charges via USB just fine.sweetvar26 said:Samsung Focus is messed up, I was going out, so I left it charging while connected to my laptop for nearly 3 hours and when I get back it had the connect to a power source symbol.
Why doesn't this phone charge over the USB while the iPhone works just fine.

Messenger Support in People Hub: You will be able to chat with your contacts right within the people hub through Windows Live Messenger.
Yeah, it is confirmed.Earl Cazone said:is it confiormed that all first gen phones will get mango?
I have it on good word that they won't be adding anything new.PG2G said:They are saying messenger integration in the people hub now. Its pretty amazing how fast they are moving. iOS 5 better add something new or they will soon be eclipses in functionality.

interesting, a lot like webOS.PG2G said:They are saying messenger integration in the people hub now. Its pretty amazing how fast they are moving. iOS 5 better add something new or they will soon be eclipses in functionality.
http://wmpoweruser.com/messenger-integration-in-people-hub-and-more-mango-features-revealed/Apart from multitasking apps, even IE Mobiles tabs are shown while switching between apps. This will make more sense when more and more powerful HTML5 based web apps replaces native apps in the future.
you're talking about iOS5? so only the cloud stuff and no improvements to notifications or multitasking?!giga said:I have it on good word that they won't be adding anything new.
Not even cloud stuff. Nothing new at all!Charred Greyface said:you're talking about iOS5? so only the cloud stuff and no improvements to notifications or multitasking?!

Third party developers are able to integrate their apps in a limited way. Music or videos played with a third party app show up in the "recent" section of the music+video hub. They're also listed as "extras" in that hub. I think the integration in the pictures hub is limited to opening stored pictures with a photo app. With Mango, developers can integrate their apps into the Bing search results.Charred Greyface said:side note: will microsoft provide an way for third party developers to integrate other services into the hubs?

If they release a beta SDK this month, then I'd say Fall.thirty said:so if the Mango SDK is being released this month, when do you guys expect the update?
I don't expect anything. Microsoft said that Mango is scheduled for this Fall and that's enough for me. I just want the updated SDK.thirty said:so if the Mango SDK is being released this month, when do you guys expect the update?
it is an "update" so yes all first gen phones will get it. i do hope we see some new phones with hspa+ with the mango release.Earl Cazone said:is it confiormed that all first gen phones will get mango?
The CPUs for the updated chassis support HSPA+, so that should be a given.thirty said:it is an "update" so yes all first gen phones will get it. i do hope we see some new phones with hspa+ with the mango release.

I hope WP has a presence during MS' E3 press conference on 6/6. A noteworthy one.
My guess would be to create two different Windows user accounts.McHuj said:Hey guys quick question. I'm thinking of getting two WP7 phones (one for me and one for my wife).
How easy (effective) is to sync two phones from one PC. I know a phone can autosync with a PC over WIFI, but I'm wondering if I can have two profiles(or something like that) to sync different stuff between the phones (music, podcasts, videos, etc).
I thinking of getting two Samsung Focus phones.
Zune can sync your library with five devices. You can easily switch between them in the software. I've never tried to sync two devices at the same time, but I'll do it later.McHuj said:Hey guys quick question. I'm thinking of getting two WP7 phones (one for me and one for my wife).

Can the five devices contain different things or will it just be synced to the current computer user who signs in?brotkasten said:Zune can sync your library with five devices. It can sync different things. I have a Zune HD and Focus and I don't have them sync the same content.claviertekky said:Can the five devices contain different things or will it just be synced to the current computer user who signs in?
