yeah I boot onto Windows 7 for my sync. Pity it would've been great for a Zune Client on the Mac, but for now I'll stay in 7 until I need to go into OSxBrettison said:So uh supposedly they updated the Mac sync client for those that uh care (which might be 2 people in the whole world who aren't testers/bloggers). LOL

Brettison said:I'll be honest. I'm semi pissed at MS for this shit. I get that your trying to entice more people to hop on the bandwagon, but I feel like people who were early adopters in the 1st week or so get the shaft. You mean you actually want to buy or device early, and help evangelize to the rest of the world? Well that's nice, but we'll make sure everyone buying one after you gets a free game, a b1g1 deal, or a cheap WP7 device.
It seriously grates on me.

I know what you mean. I'm using the Zune HD for such a long time and now it's kinda strange, but I always prefered metro in white, so I'm glad I can use the white theme without instantly killing the batteryBrettison said:Seeing a white background just feels odd to me! :lol
Do you have any pictures?thirty said:I Tron-ified my phone w tasty Olivia Wilde wallpaper, dark/teal theme, and Tron related tiles like Flixster and Daft Punk Zune.
I showed an iPhool and he nearly shit in his pants by the sheer awesomeness.
salva said:That's dissapointing. My tp2 already feels like a tank and the 7 pro is almost the same, apparently. I'll wait for the no-keyboard version.

:lolsorry for the double post, but I don't have copy/paste

On WP7, you have the choice of two backgrounds: an angry blizzard or the sad darknessBrettison said:Seeing a white background just feels odd to me! :lol

I don't think you can change the default browser.Zerokku said:I had it the same was as well until I got metro browser. It wants to open in standard IE when pinned like that.
Is there any way to get such items to open in Metro or will they always default to IE?
Windows Phone 7210,000 monthly Facebook users, 4,300 apps, leaving webOS behindSince we last took stock of the state of Windows Phone 7 last week, the OS has massed the 4000 app milestone, adding hitting 4,292 apps, adding 446 since last week. At this rate, with about 2 weeks left in the year, the total is on track to pass 5000 by the end of the year, passing the number of apps on WebOS easily.
Monthly Facebook users have also increased steeply, as can be seen from the graph above, rising from 180,786 to 209,961, adding around 30,000 users.
Ad company Chitika also revealed the web usage of the Windows Phone 7 installed base has hit around 1% of Androids, and 0.6% of iOS, no mean achievement for an OS less than 2 months into release, and a number which suggests around 700,000 Windows Phones sold so far.
Maybe they'll fix the problems with a Patch. I'd love to play Puzzle Quest 2 on the go, but I just can't justify spending the money for a game that has such problems.besiktas1 said:Yeah it's a little bit slow for me too (Omnia 7)
Lots of games these past few day though. Lots of free ones too. I just want a Bridge (preferably turkish rules of Batak) and a free Backgammon with good ai. Gin Rummy would be appreciated too...
Same here, didn't like it one bit. I don't know, but I've played so many tower defense games in the last couple of years that a new one just has to offer a bit more than just satellite photos instead of a regular map. Maybe it's because I have only tried the Trial Version, maybe it's because I've played to many of them, I don't know.Brettison said:So I just tried out "Project Sunburst" aka the Crackdown game for WP7. IDK I feel like I'm gonna get hated on here but...
Really that was pretty gosh damn boring. For all they hype (enough for it to get a known code name) it seemed underwhelming even for a tower defense game.
I'm leaning towards the game just sucking ass.snap0212 said:Same here, didn't like it one bit. I'm having fun with it, it's a nice diversion, I'm more managing bases then actively playing the game, the fact that you get supplies to build upgrades by moving around the real world (i.e. turn on the game in different locations) is a pretty nifty feature that encourages me to pull out the game whenever I get a chance.Brettison said:I'm leaning towards the game just sucking ass.
snap0212 said:Did anyone else download the Puzzle Quest 2 Trial? I've played it for a bit last night and it seems to be pretty buggy (sloppy framerate, and not-too responsive controls). Are others having the same experience?
Nemesis556 said:Does anyone know how the TROPHY phone is? It appears to be the only one available to me without having to switch providers, but for some reason I get the feeling it's the lesser of the phones.
Thanks in advance for the advice! =)
antiquegamer said:I think engadget review it and sait it was "ok" phone. I hope that's not the only phone Verizon is getting.
I saw that the Dell one might come to AT&T but after all the mess not sure if anyone going to want to buy that. Last I saw they still haven't ship the phone to all the people that pre-order them.
The Xbox game deal also rub me the wrong way and they really should extend the offer to the early adoptor but better deal I think would be free WP7 games rather than xbox game.
I can't seem to get Flixster! to do live tile ... not sure what seems to be the problem. AP app works and so does the Weather tile.

This means he won't be able to connect to the wi-fi at work, so he's a bit pissed obviously. Are there any workarounds to this yet, or do we know if the situation will change in the future?

They added it on the Zune HD. I don't get why it's not in WP7 by default.PG2G said:While I don't think they've said anything officially, it seems like this is a given for being added/fixed.
Your friend should tell his IT admin that hidden wi-fi networks don't improve their security while at the same time draining his battery even faster than it should :lolNils said:Friend just ordered a Windows Phone 7 device and has now discovered it's apparently incompatible with hidden wi-fi networks. It was never possible on a Zune and I still don't know why. It works on iOS devices, right?Brettison said:I don't get why they don't let Zune handle podcasts on the phone without the need of the PC client.

Not too huge? Every podcast I listen to was over the 20MB limit -.- I had to jailbreak just to download podcasts. Otherwise it would stream and most of the time the stream would die due to some reason or another and I'd have to find the point I was at again.VanMardigan said:Yes, even over 3g if they are audio podcasts and not too huge.
Edit: If Dell fixed up the issues with the Venue Pro and its headed to AT&T, I don't see how that's not the phone to get. AMOLED screens are very nice, and it's bigger than the Focus', plus it looks much better and that keyboard will likely be useful when they fix word with copy/paste and we get Dropbox.
