That's WP7 not supporting Silverlight. Doesn't make it less awesome.
Oh I get WHY[i/], but that doesn't make it any less silly. Rather it just underlines the point that MS despite a great UI with metro still has a long way to go especially with the browser.

When are you going to buy a WP7?
Not sure. I wanted to move off my iPhone 3G bad but I now have a phone to use from work for the duration of my co-op term. I might not be able to resist and grab one before it ends, but otherwise it'll be September =)

Fable mini game for WP7.

I just fired up the stream to see what you guys are talking about. Christ, she looks like a Stepford Wife and talks like a meth addict.

edit: of course she's a Heat fan

btw (and let me google this for you assholes don't bother) Sharepoint. Does anyone here use it? What do you need? I can't because I'm on a mac, and apparently I need some specific hardware.

Hey, way to not show us how your copy and paste implementation works, lady.

Not sure if showing iOS ports is the best way to sell your gaming functionality...

Did he actually give any update details? I heard copy and paste but I was distracted.

The only things on the slide were Copy & Paste and App Performance Improvements. They mentioned apps loading quicker and so on, so that's a good thing. One of my major problems with the phone, hope its a noticeable difference.

When do we get that Amazon app?

[So do we have any idea how Microsoft's implementation of copy and paste works?

Crazy Lady demoed it onstage. Looked pretty smooth, don't know how you would select things within a sentence though.

No new Zune devices is really disappointing. I would mind carrying a 'zune touch' at least until webOS gets up to speed. I miss having zune pass on my phone.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to figure out but she was so terrifying I couldn't look directly at the screen.

Hopefully they just straight up steal the way iOS handles C&P. It's by far the best implementation.

The WP7 looks better. It ties into the software keyboard too which is a cut above the iOS keyboard imo.

Anyone notice that tethering has dropped off the radar? I could have sworn that it was going to come in the same update as copy&paste.

I'll admit I was hoping for some biggerish news, but I just knew it wasn't coming.

I just had this feeling if we were gonna get some big WP7 news anytime soon it would be at MWC or bust.

I wish we had gotten a date for the update, but all signs pointed to us not hearing anything at CES. Except for the Verizon phones.

It's stange that I missed that, but it seems that Ballmer was talking about a series of updates that will automatically be pushed to [the] customers in the next few months. Sounds more like just NoDo and Mango. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I am disappointed thinking may be Microsoft will get it right but I was just kidding myself. Though I have to say that game room looks cool if it share the game pak as the Xbox Live then I am excited to have arcade machines in my pocket.

Just remember it's Microsoft, they are slow and lumbering to act. It's not Apple or Sony they need to worry about it's Google Android that's going to take over not only mobile space but PC, tablet and TV hub.

I have no idea what that means
Seconded, it's absolutely nothing meaningful. My Zune tile is live with my last artist floating around. Not sure what's different from the pictures.

Chris Walsh is the same guy claiming the NoDo update would be able to be called WP8. What an attention whore.

Good to know I'm NOT crazy. I was like but I think my Zune tile is already a live tile? :lol

We're not going to see anything at MWC either.

MWC is only a month away, and I feel like if there was anything new it would have leaked already or will be leaking within 1-2 weeks.

There was a very noticeable lack of sales data in the WP7 segment. Why would manufacturers rush to release another round of hardware when their first wave isn't even doing that well?

Maybe we'll see Asus and Sony Ericsson or something.

I hope Game Room catches on some more now that it is also going to go on mobile phones. Right now its biggest problem IMO is there are very few good games on it.

I've played with the update a while ago. Look at the screenshot on the official update page. You can then drag those start/end icons to trim down what you want to select.

It is very easy to use! It's similar to the iPhone in ways, but the pasting is actually very easy. It doesn't really have those large bubbles pop up with text which is nice also.

Despite it having Xbox Live integration, and a suite of tools that make development easy, I find it embarassing that WP7 has probably the worst exclusive games for it so far. I know its still early, so I'm willing to wait, but I expected a decent stable to come in already, or at least be announced. I'm sort of excited for Game Room, but without Microsoft allowing bluetooth HID input devices some of those games will be unplayable.

I am interested in the NES emulator shown on WPCentral, and other emulators that should come in the future, but if the best we can come up with for CES is Fable Coin Golf, the future doesn't look bright for Xbox Live on Windows Phone.

Has FarmVille hit Windows Phone yet, and is it a XBL game?

That said, I finally ordered my WP7 phone. Not going to tell you all which one it is for fear of being flamed though.

Is the update up?
