What program do you use to cut mp3s?brotkasten said:"Not very accessible", but not that complicated either. Definitely not something that takes up an hour to do.
its already obvious. nothing subtle about it.brotkasten said:That would've made it too obvious.

Audacity is a decent free sound editor. Simply open your MP3, highlight the section you want as a ringtone, hit edit - trim and done. You can also amplify the volume too since I find that a lot of MP3's make for pretty quiet ringtones.Korey said:What program do you use to cut mp3s?
November 15, I think.JonCha said:Two quick questions:
1) UK release date?
2) Does this use a micro sim like the N9?

Stumpokapow said:A front facing camera allows video chatting. That's the main selling point for them. It's one of the key marketing features for the iPhone 4/4S. We know that Microsoft is working on expanding WP7 into the video chat arena and the Titan, amongst other phones, will implement it. They also own, you know, Skype, whose major appeal is that it can do video chat. It also allows face unlock which is one of the key marketing features for the Galaxy Nexus.
But sure, who values that, besides all the vastly more successful competitors and Microsoft themselves?
RE you performance comparison, people value high performance in their devices. A smooth interface, enough RAM to allow them to complete tasks that they want to complete, and the necessary power to do elaborate applications. The actual numbers are relatively unimportant. Android phones began to, on paper, beat the iPhone a long time ago. And yet on all but the highest end phones, in most use cases, the iPhone actual performs better. Hell, WP7 is a testament to this. WP7 gen 1 phones perform very well, the OS is super smooth and fast, and yet their innards are old and busted.
Because one says A/B/G/N and the other says B/G/Nbrotkasten said:Hahaha, what the fuck, Engadget?
Why isn't the SoC and price on the 800 green? Why is the exact same WiFi on the N9 green?
You stopped reading the thread after that post, I see.hwalker84 said:Because one says A/B/G/N and the other says B/G/N
Kai said:So what is the consensus of people switching from iOS? I really love Nokia hardware and the new phone looks amazing - FYI I have an iPhone 4 not the 4s...
Anything I will miss?
Dipswitch said:Well fuck me - that Nokia announcement was a bummer. Guess I'm either going with a gen 1 phone or if the price is right, the Radar.
Ebay here I come....

Early 2012. Does that mean April 2012?
Your carrier needs to enable it.kharma45 said:Just updated my Optimus 7 there now via Zune, was expecting the Internet Sharing option to appear in setting as it's being rolled out now but no sign of it.
Edit - Phone is already on Mango, this was an LG specific update which should've brought internet sharing as it is being rolled out at the minute.

I've no idea what Microsoft were thinking when they claimed that Windows Phone was a Zune replacement.
To be honest, I don't feel like a single last-gen phone with unsupported microSD capabilities alleviates the problem at all. If Microsoft isn't going to support expandable memory officially, they need to make sure that the manufacturers offer decent storage options like Apple does. This obviously hasn't happened, and for me it's one of the biggest issues in Windows Phone - one that will most probably affect the majority of the general public.StudioTan said:Again, the Samsung Focus is expandable. I put a 16gig MicroSD card in mine for 24 gigs of storage.

If you're on an unbranded phone you'll likely never get it.

The new update for my unbranded Optimus 7 neither added a Working Compass (at least not in Skymap, the one app that really needs it), nor tethering and not even fucking hidden wifi. Next phone is an iPhone.
