Wasn't it supposed to be something on the lines of mapping the Android API to Windows, or will they jump the shark and allow publishing of APKs?

It's probably being ported to iOS as we speak.
With gliches, to be solved Soon™! Truly, the complete Windows Phone experience on iOS!

Pleeeeeaaaasssseeeee be something that turns WP around. I love my phone. Absolutely love it. And I hate to think of a future where I have to leave it for something... Android...

At LEAST something that gets us some app support. I'm fine running recompiled Android apps for the 3 damn things I need, but I want WP to have some kind of future.

Well, now we wait to see how they do it. If its software emulation, it will be the worst thing in the world. If its anything like what I proposed earlier, it would run almost as well as a native app.

Pocket Casts is out now. It looks nice, but I don't know if I want to pay $4 when the stock podcast app works fine.

Good write up here on it http://www.windowscentral.com/pocke...available-supercharge-your-podcast-experience

Still a fan of Podcast Lounge but I think this will pip them

I haven't had any issues with the stock app myself.

If you're looking for a basic, buggy and slow app then sure it's great.

I would love to be able to dual-boot Android on my Lumia. I could see that happening if the version they ship in that scenario comes with Microsoft apps instead of Google apps. What about a Hyper-V/VM type scenario? I can't see Android apps running natively, but what do I know...

Microsoft really need to be more aggressive with their hardware choices. I've looked at the 830, 735 and 640 and they're all built around the same weaksauce 1.2 GHz A7/Adreno 305/1 GB combo. While I can absolve the 640 on account of it being a low-end phone, dressing up an entry-level SoC as a mid-high-end device is simply unacceptable. Not to mention that the only truly palpable difference between the 735 and the 830 is the extra 8 GB of internal storage.

I really want to move away from Android (and have neither the intention nor the funds to go Apple), but if things continue I see myself getting an Android phone from a Chinese company. They seem like the only people left who know how to make a proper mid-high-end phone.

Fake? The top edge of both bars are missing a little chunk at the same point as if somebody messed up their photoshop with the eraser tool.

Or maybe I'm nuts.

circle it if you can, i dont see it

Yeah... it's fake. That would've been some nice implementation too, turning the live icon into the app itself.

EDIT: Done on a Surface Pro 3 no less.
