So it's only the 2nd and I'm already at 2gb data for no reason. I was actually already at 700 Mb on the 30th.

I've deleted everything but the Here navigation and turned sync settings to an unacceptable low. This isn't how I want to use a smartphone, but I have no idea why my data use us so excessive. I used to have trouble reaching 2gb in a month on an unlimited plan with my android phone.

could my phone just be bad or something?

do you have data sense? It will show a complete breakdown. That is very odd though.

Gone well over my 2GB the last two months and never hit half my limit before. Something is leaking data on my phone, but with data sense blocked I can't find out what it is.

I thought they fixed the issue and it was related to twitter? My wife has gone over her data limit two months in a row. MS needs to pay my overages, this is ridiculous. My co-worker's phone dies in a few hours, it seems like a Windows phone and AT&T issue.

Either the Twitter thing isn't fixed or there is some other issue.

I've used almost 6GB with 10 days left. I have unlimited, sure, but i usually don't use *that* much unless i stream crunchyroll or stream twitch, and the twitch app hasn't been working for a while now D:

Wow, you guys use a lot, just in general, regardless of issues. I doubt I've ever gone over 600MB, and I don't do anything to conserve data.

I just got my first smartphone, a Lumia 520. The thing is the screen is not displaying colours and texts correctly. It has something like triangles obstructing pieces of the screen of the opposite colour. For example where there is white text there are black shapes not in one place but in different ones each time and repeatedly changing.It's impossible to type anything since most of the time you cant see most of the screen.

Take for example a tile.Half tile is displaying correctly where the other half (making the tile two triangles) is stuttering in a darker colour that what the tile is.

I have been googling but can't find anything. I have also reseted the phone. Any ideas before I call customer service?


EDIT: Looking at photos fullscreen I don't have this problem. While internet browsing or looking around the OS is where this happens.

First pic the problem is on IE tile.Second pic on the other two. This isn't static it changes all the time and affects all the tiles.

The likely issue is the GPU. Its probably for the best if you bring it back and exchange it for a new one. Once you get it, upon signing in should bring back all your apps and settings within a couple minutes.

I just got it and it also was my first windows phone so I have no settings or apps that need to be saved. Yeah tomorrow morning I will be returning it, hope they give me a new one asap.

That's why, even though Nokia's color calibration tool makes the 1020's screen much more bearable than my old 900, I would rather have an LCD. My 900 also had a permanent IE bar after a few months.

My original Focus had tile burn in.

When I got that problem on my 920 upon getting it back from repair, I used this App and left it on overnight That solved it that one time, but then once the burning began to come back I didn't bother again and one day they just went away.

I have no clue either. Got the phone back from Rogers Repair, screen had terrible ghosting and burn in (and random-ass lines over the screen on solid colours), I ran the program overnight, it fixed it, it came back, I went to try and see if they would go replace it probono because its their error, they never got back to me, a couple days later I noticed all the screen problems were gone. Then the light behind the Windows and Back Captive buttons stopped working leaving only the light behind the search button and its been like that ever since.

*shruggs* At least it doesn't ghost anymore.

24 month contract so £1300 total cost? Considering the hardware is £1000 retail that's probably about average for this kind of deal.

Dammit, now I deleted my history. Have to login into GAF again, and of course I don't remember my password which i changed after the breach thingy.

Maybe it's for the best.
